The memories are all flooding back to me.

*Tear*

They are the survivors, it's so nice to see them again. Welcome back, submarines, we've missed 'ya.

It sticks out so much still, even after the lagoon has been filled. I don't know how they're going to make an island out of that.

Question slice of the tropics

Assuming the monorail track will be staying put, I guess it will have to slice right through the island. Maybe the rumor about it being a volcano is true, and the monorail will go through the crater?

Well, I STILL think it is either a volcano (note how high up it is, but it looks a little long...) or a seperate little cave (I'm guessing cave). I also think that the little "attatchment" area is a coral reef of some sort. Those are my best thought out guesses!

Yea its great to see the subs back out. But i think there going to need a lot more then just painting... Who knows if they were still water tight! :0 And most defintly a clean up. I think there going to take them somewhere other then the docks. BTW anyone know what that little raft thing was that was floating out by one of the subs?

^^My dad just took a look at it he's guessing its a camera to look at the hulls of the old subs, or a camera they can take around the lagoon. I don't think it was an airsupplier but IDK

I'll have extensive (and much better, IMNSHO) photos in my next update, which should be tonight or tomorrow.

i think thats what it is.?!
i found this off of theme parks.com As part of the Disneyland 50th anniversary celebration continuing through 2006, Jay Rasulo, president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, has announced plans for the next “E-Ticket” attraction coming soon to Disneyland – “Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.” The all-new underwater adventure will feature the eight submarines of the fondly remembered “Submarine Voyage” attraction. “Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage” is inspired by the Disney presentation of the Pixar Animation Studios film, “Finding Nemo.”
“From the very beginning, we’ve combined new innovations with favorite stories to create magical new worlds,” said Rasulo. “In ‘Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage,’ our guests will experience Nemo’s world in a way that has never been done before.”
As a member of the sub crew, guests will embark on an expedition to observe an active undersea volcano. But soon after departure, they will be delighted to discover their favorite fish friends getting into the swim of things right alongside their submarine! Nemo and his friends are able to go along for the ride thanks to an amazing new projection technology developed exclusively by Walt Disney Imagineering that allows them to appear exactly as they do in the film “Finding Nemo” but now in a three-dimensional underwater setting.
‘Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage’ launches Disneyland into its next 50 years of providing one-of-a-kind experiences for our guests,” said Matt Ouimet, president of the Disneyland Resort. “Our Imagineers have done a wonderful job of blending new technology with a classic Disneyland attraction to bring this exciting new adventure to life.”
“We are literally bringing the undersea world of ‘Finding Nemo’ off the screen and into the submarine lagoon of Tomorrowland!” says Tom Fitzgerald, executive vice president and senior creative executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, creative arm for all Disney parks and resorts. “We are going to immerse our guests into an adventure that will leave them in disbelief - - they will want to experience this new attraction over and over to find out – ‘How did they do that?’”
The attraction opens the door to a new realm of experiences in which Disneyland guests encounter their favorite animated characters in a truly unique computer-animated environment that only Disney can create. With the use of the subs’ vintage "sonar hydrophones," Guests will hear the fish talk with the same personalities and humor established in the film. Guests will get to eavesdrop on the exploits of Dory (Blue Tang fish), Marlin (Clown fish), Crush (Turtle), Bruce (Great White Shark) and the members of the “tank gang,” and most importantly, take part in an ever changing adventure of trying to “find” Nemo throughout the voyage.
Along the way guests catch glimpses of Nemo in a variety of colorful undersea environments while joining Crush, Dory, Bruce and Marlin in the undersea search. There will be several moments when Guests aboard their submarine will be able to see Nemo while the other characters won’t! After surviving a sub-shaking volcanic eruption, the subs dive alongside a breathtakingly beautiful coral reef where Marlin, Nemo and all their friends gather to celebrate finding Nemo at last!

Notice how they mention "undersea volcano" so maybe it will be a volcano or something

Default Volcano & Coral Reef?

So I'm guessing the big show building will be the volcano and the walls that attatch it to the old cavern would be the coral reef?

I wonder if they're going to have any special effects for the monorail, since it's going to cut right through the volcano's crater?
