Sorry Matt for what I did. It's just a habit of mine to assume.
By the way, what did you think of the ride?

It was vague & undefined, much like the Epcot Seas w/ Nemo & Friends. I liked the parallels to the original Sub Voyage's audio spiel, but I found it quite odd that the captain says the point of the voyage is to find a volcano, then when we find the volcano, there's no mention that we found the volcano.

There were quite a few direct movie scene inserts that happen at complete random, such as the exploding mine & getting swallowed by the whale, which was a little disappointing especially because they never did explain how our Sub could possibly 1) fit in a whale's blowhole and 2) how we managed to get blown out of a whale's blowhole and still remain intact. The EAC scene was underwhelming having seen Epcot's first. And like Epcot's, no real reason why we're finding Nemo or how Nemo's gotten lost again. It almost seemed like they were going for a story, then someone stepped in & just made sure there was as much movie-looking-related-ish scenes as possible.

I miss the giant squid.

It's nice to be able to ride a Sub again, but the usual datedness and incoherency usually found with movie-based themes found its way into this as well. Oh well.

I found the FNSV to be, well, "wow" is the only way to describe this attraction. During the ride, I had a child like grin and smile pretty much from start to finish.

I will agree with PMM about a) being eaten by a whale and escaping via blowhole, and b) encountering the volcano and having nothing said. I found these odd, but only after the fact I rode it.

On the 2'nd go around, while facing the outer lagoon, I noticed a box shaped hole that seemed to go under the pathway that lines the west lagoon inwards for a ways. In this hole, there was coral and whatnot(same stuff seen in the lagoon itself). Now, is this simply a illusion or what? Can someone please clairify?

And, moving onto a map sitch, I just opened my map from the 15'th(which was dated from the 11'th, not the 15'th) this morning and noticed something wrong. Anyone want to try and guess?

^Yes exactly. I was actually surprised to not see a extended show building on this map. Hopefully, this is not permanant. If it is, I will be dissapointed, espically since Disney useually keeps their park maps up to date.

also, the sub seems really out of place. The one closest to the dock, it seems like it's tail is WAYY out of place.

^Yeah, I noticed that as well. Basicly, it all they did was took the old lagoon from the map, made it a tad darker(as with the rest of Tomorrowland), added the sign, put two subs in there and presto, you have a quick fix, instead of actually going all out for it like they've done with just about everything else for this ride.

And, speaking of going all out for Nemo, I took a photo in Downtown Disney, and in the photo contained around 11 different advertisements for FNSV in one photo. And, I saw a helicopter flying above the resort area at around 12'ish on Friday sporting a blue and yellow paint job and wearing the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage logo. So, that just goes to show how far Disney is going with this. Hopefully, sooner or later, the planes that sport Disneyland Resort liveries might soon be AeroSubs!(One can wish, right?)

Guys...this is still the Submarine Voyage that few people cared about 10 years ago. Sure it's the 'new thing' these days, but for if it's worth it to spend x amount of hours to ride...it's really not. Especially since you don't have a wait time to watch the Nemo movie in your car's DVD player on the way to Disneyland. While having some material not directly borrowed from the movie, the ride doesn't add any sort of unique storyline or have really any storyline at all. They could have tied something together with the volcano angle but instead the ride basically consists of random Nemo character viewings and an Aussie voiceover of the original Sub Voyage's audio spiel. Meh.

Oh, and Cali, your sig is wrong, that shouldn't say "originally (said) by Space Mountain in ToT's library"

Lol Matt. I had a feeling that would come up. Alright, I'll go fix it to reflect the truth.

Sticking with the on-topicness, does anyone have a clue what that box shaped thing is that I described a few posts up? I'll try to find a video of the inner lagoon and If I can see it in the video, I'll post it for those who dont know what I'm talking about.

A box shaped thing is where a box used to be,lol. Really, no need to stress over some hole in the ground.

^I am not stressing over it. I am very curious as to why it is there. It just seems so out of place and random.
