Default Negative Experience?

Has anybody had a negative Disneyland experience?

About a year ago, me and my family went to DLR. We had a great day until my sister wanted to go on the Matterhorn. The ride operator seated me and my sister together. My sister could'nt get the seatbelt to close and asked her for help. She said "Sorry, too late." and hit the go button. The whole time, I was holding onto my sister for Dear Life. Her knees kept banging into the front of the car. We got off and my sister was in a lot of pain. We asked for a nurse, and were quickly approached by security who claimed we had to go with him first. My sister could'nt walk. They finally called for help and my sister ended up in the hospital. She's fine now Thank God.

Needless to say, we do not go on the Matterhorn anymore.

Sounds like the ride operator and security personnel acted in a negligent manner. Have you considered filing a lawsuit for the injuries? Did Disney pay for the hospital stay and medical expenses? I wouldn't expect much beyond the payment of medical expenses, however.

one time this is not involving a rude CM or anything. I was in line for Space Mountain. And we were in this seriouisly long line and I was with a friend and here sister and her friend. my friend started fighting with her sister about who was going to sit in the front of the ride and they were argueing for like a half hour and it was really annoying! And not only that but there where these guys behind us making gas noises and thinking it was the funniest thing. It was so stupid! My friend was acting so immature and I was all shut up you two! My friend ended up calling her mom who was outside in Tommrowland waiting for us to come back from riding. She was all, "Mom! Melissa thinks she is going to sit in the front!" It may sound funny but it was annoying and people were looking at us really weird. Finally they figured it out and neither of them sat in the front. :)

They did pay for all the medical expenses and gave us two sets of 5 Park-Hopper tickets. That was enough to take my family back twice. It worked out luckily. My sister feels better and she has fun whenever we go there. However, like I said, we have not gone on the Matterhorn since.

There was this one time I went on HMH and I was getting on my Doom Buggie and this guy came over and sat next to me, and I was thinking, "Why doesn't he get another one?" but I though it would be rude. But THEN, he pulls out a digital camera and starts taking flash pictures and doesn't notice im there. The CM's voice kept saying "No Flash Photography, please" but the guy didn't listen. He keeps taking pictures and the Cm at the end became very angry and started yelling at him. She though he was my son, so she gave ME a lecture too. It was a horrible experience, and he didn't even say sorry!

My last three visits have all been more-or-less negative

-Went in 04 with my parents, grandmother, and aunt to see my younger brother perform in band. it rained that entire time, leaving us sitting at a resturant in Fantasyland. only had time to ride three rides and no one wanted to stay long.

-Went last april by myself. it was my first time there on my own and i couldnt get anyone from VF to join so i was fellin a bit lonely for most of it. had to call friends from home just to get over it, and the park was insanely busy so i didn't do much riding. but some great memoriable occurences pretty much ruled that out, so i dont really see this trip as negative. a CM on Indy gave me a fastpass cause he saw i was alone, a couple on ToT let me cut in front of them for no reason at all, and a woman i didn't even know saved me a seat for Fantasmic! when i was walking around her looking for one. i realized just how great not only the CMs, but the people are there. its unlike any other place. it seems to bring out the good sumaritan in us all. plus got to see what ridin Haunted Mansion was like when it was COMPLETELY EMPTY (of guests, cause no CMs would just be silly cause it wouldn't be turned on) woohoo!

-went again last august with my parents and two brothers for last-minute trip. it was all good until my parents decided by 6:30 they had enough of the park and forced us to leave and miss ROTC...

other than that, i cant think of one bad instance involving a ride or a rude CM, unless kicking and screaming on Big Thunder as a four yr old counts lol. just poorly-planned visits. i learned never to go with my parents again lol

Honestly can't say I've had one. Beyond being disappointed in one trip that most of the major attractions were closed for refurbs, but you have to do what you have to do. Can't complain about improvements!

Why would she think he was your son when your profile says you're 13 years old. Sorry, just a little curious...

As we get older, 13 starts looking younger & younger. Plus that's really unheard of for a stranger to just sit with someone on Mansion, especially a kid. If I were you DLO5, I'd have been rather concerned. It'd have been very easy for a quiet kidnapping to start that way.

As far as the CM's lecture, sounds like that guy had it coming, and you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I really have not ever. Only thing is that I do tend to get more irritated when it is crowded and really hot. But hey you can't stop the weather... now only if they had crowd control lol or rather more of it.

I've met a few nasty CMs and a handful of unhappy looking CMs. Although I can't think of any experiences with them that totally ruined my day (DCA is a completely different story though!). I think what ruins a day at Disneyland more than anything else is rude guests. Just on my last visit, I was pushed, insulted and had my view of the fireworks blocked by inconsiderate guests. And you know, sometimes it only takes one negative experience to ruin the whole day!

Being an Annual Passholder, it is almost a guarantee that you will experience a bad time at Disneyland. I've been pretty fortunate, though... just a few bad experiences. There was once a girl in front of me on Space Mountain who ended up saving a spot for about 7 other girls. This one guy behind me kept on hitting the back of my head with his lenscap that was dangling from his tape recorder while watching Fantasmic a while back. I've been cussed out at by several people when I had to walk by their "territory" to get to the restrooms while waiting for Fantasmic. People have stood up in front of me dozens of times while watching the fireworks. So many just plain rude experiences. After a while, though, you just end up shaking them off and not letting it bother you.

You have NO idea of how frightened I was

I was literally about to jump out of the car...guy must've been a tourist, lol, cause I'vve NEVER seen that happening.

Oh yeah, he didn't necessarily looked like he was trrying to kidnap anyone, he just seemed REALLY oblivious to what the heck was going on around him....I can also understand that if he had never been, he might not understand...

And I am pretty small for my age, if you have seen any of my videos, it's kinda in a "lower" point of view.

I never had a negative experience before and never will. I plan my theme park visits very well. The only thing that I hate is that people bump into you without saying sorry or anything, also cutting in line or take our spot, when me and my Mom weren't looking.

Yes, some people are ignorant and rude and by people, I mean 'Humans.'
