On Westcoaster.net it said that IASW caught on fire during the fireworks! is this true?

Jim writes some rather odd captions to his photos in the updates. I believe what he was trying to get across was a joke along the lines of "Well, since it didn't actually burn down as the projections during the fireworks show, the next best thing happened: it closed!" He's just showing the ride closed during the day, only to reopen later. It's best to heed the warning they put on their home page - take nothing they say seriously.

yeah he uh has a different style of writing (you could call it) but sometimes his info is correct so i dunno

I would be mad if IASW burned down or closed because Walt brought it to Disneyland from the New York Worlds Fair.

Sometimes it is, but he was not reporting that IASW caught fire in this case. Just that it had closed at one point that day.

Lest we mislead anyone, IASW has projections during the fireworks, and for the Indy sequence, fire images are projected on to the facade, making it look like IASW is on fire. I see no point in leaving this thread open further, so topic closed.
