Yep it's basically pineapple ice cream, but it's non-dairy, so there isn't any actual cream or milk in it.

that stuff is delicious! the best thing you can buy there (at the tiki room dole juice stand in adventureland) is a pineapple float. it has the delicious dole pineapple whip floating in fresh pineapple juice. it's delicious!

ah I think the whip is 10xxxx better than the float. It kind of waters down all that yummy whip stuff. Get the whip. It is half the price too ! $2.50 for the best treat in disney.

A Dole Whip is very good and it costs 2.75. It is fat-free, dairy free, and it will provide for 100% of your daily vitamin C needs.

I know they used to say "dairy free", but last time I bought something there, they stopped saying it was dairy free. I talked to one of the CMs and she handed me a book with the ingredients. Apparently it's a dairy by-product, so technically there's no real dairy in it, but someone who is really lactose intolerant may want to avoid it. Even though I'm a bit lactose intolerant, I still buy a Dole Whip because they are oh-so-delicious!

Well, that's not much of a surprise. Usually things that taste really good are also really bad for you. But everyone should splurge at least once (per visit!) and get a Dole Whip!

When ever you people talk about the Dole Whip, it makes me think of the part in the Blues Brothers movie where John Candy asks his fellow officers it they want and orange whip. Orange Whip, Orange Whip, 3 orange whips. I hope that somebody gets that reference. I think it works, it is really random but that is what I think. I really want to get one of those Dole Whips, they always look so good, but the line is always so long!

I am sorry but I am not sure where you got your information from but I buy Dole Whip mix directly from Precision Foods (the manufacturer) of Pineapple Dole Mix and I doubled checked the nutritional facts and they do not match yours at all. Then again I am wrong too. The facts on Dole Whips is they have only 5 calories from fat. The box they come in says non-fat but I guess they really are not (can we say false advertising). The mix comes in big buckets and they make about a hundred servings. There are 80 calories per 1/2 cup size (the size you get at DL) and only has 6% vitamin C (I got got a different product in my head). Here is precisions website where you can see all the flavors they make:

Here is a picture of what Dole Whip mix looks like before it is prepared for the soft serve machine:

BTW pineapple is my favorite but rasberry is very good too. I wish I had a mixer than I could mix the two together like in the picture.

Space Mountain Mike did the research for me way back when that was originally posted. I'm a bit out of my element here, but I'm thinking the reason for the difference in my information & that information is that that information is referring to Dole's mix bag. The main ingredient there is sugar, which tells me that it doesn't include the ice cream element of a Dole Whip at all, hence it would be missing about 98% of the fat/calories from the overall Dole Whip nutrition information. I could be wrong, but that's my guess there.
