Default If you have ONE Disneyland ride in your backyard...

If you could own one Disneyland ride for your backyard (assuming your backyard would magically stretch to accommodate the ride), which Disneyland ride would it be?

(I have a friend at work who always asks these weird hypothetical questions, and today he posed this one.)

Oh wow that's a REALLY tough decision! Well, if I had to choose, it would probably have to be either the Matterhorn or Space Mountain.

If I could have a multi-acre backyard, I think I would go for the Mark Twain on the Rivers of America. I could really get some mileage out of that one. Round and round we go. Great for parties or relaxing. I think if I had any other ride, I would eventually become bored with it. But a back yard river-boat has the potential for long term enjoyment.

Bar-ba-que on the Texas deck! Oh yeah.

I'd have to go with Pirates of the Caribbean. Make my backyard a nice Blue-Bayou, then you can enter the tunnel and plummet underground. Sounds relaxing... I know for a fact that I'd be spending the rest of my days doing laps! It'd make a nice pool, I imagine!

I wouldn't mind a Jungle Cruise either.... But I won't get picky! I remember as a child thinking of ways I could coax my neighbors and the city council into building a Haunted Mansion and/or Pirates underneath my block with the access point at my house. It seemed pretty feasible (to the 5-year-old mind) the whole thing would be under ground, and I would promise to clean it... But that idea died down once my "cool" neighbors moved away. I knew for a fact that the new ones'd be too stingy to say yes.

Fun topic, DaddyB!

Default Pirates.

It would HAVE to be Pirates.

I mean, you get the awesome indoor "outdoor" area of the Blue Bayou, you get to go down and then up a waterfall, you can chill in the caves, you could take your boat and just float around by the pirate ship....

You could stock that area with fish and reel 'em in! lol...

You know, one of my biggest dreams in life is to have a cavern-style swimming pool enclosure... like right when you go down the second falls into the area with the pirate/seagull combo? With waterfalls from the ceiling, and that music, and the little beach area, and the PERFECT lighting. It would be so AWESOME to make the falls into the area a water slide, so you'd slide down into the cool, darkened swimming hole.

Sweeeeeet.

Wow you have some amazing ideas. I really like the Mark Twain idea. I might have to go with the Jungle Cruise or Pirates as well.

I'd pick POTC. That ride has so much atmosphere and would be such an escape from the world. It would be so fun to be able to go in my backyard and ride it whenever I wanted to =)

I really like the Mark Twain idea too. My first reaction was the Teacups, but then I thought I'd probably get sick of the music pretty darn fast if I had to hear it over and over again all day long! haha!

I guess I would go with the Carousel. I think I would go with this because people of all ages could ride it and enjoy it. Plus it is beautiful to look at. The music at least would not be the same song over and over, but the same mix over and over again, which I think would be nice.

Everyone posting on this thread rules...how smart is the rivers of Amercica idea?...and Pirates, wow! I was like, "Alice" in my mind (it's so cute) but throwing a big ole party on the Mark Twain would kick booty! Imagine the Easter egg hunts you could have on the Tom's Sawyers Island??? Oh POTC, how awesome to be able to ride a floaty through the ride, and jump off where ever and hang out....whoo hooooo! Very cool question :)

Rides only? If a ride, then I'll go for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. You just can't deny the awesomeness of the "wildest ride in the wilderness"!
If we could include attractions in our choice, then I would choose The Enchanted Tiki Room. That'd be a great party house.
