How do you get a job there, though?

Do you get to chose in what department you work in? Because I have always wanted to work in attractions but I'm afraid the would stick me somewhere else.

I think they do give you a choice of where you want to work, and if you're really unhappy with your current role, you can transfer to something else.

I would really love to work at Disneyland! I would want to work with people, like guest relations or something like that.

Of course, finished carpentry would be awesome too!! I loved doing finished carpentry.

You use your Cast ID as admission. So in essence yes it's a pass, but no blockouts and a bigger discount on merchandise and food.

If you have enough time and are not in costume (you'd have to take a role in something that wears business casual) and without a name tag.

That is of course unless you're part of the Dream Squad ... they are the only costumed CM's cleared to ride rides while on the clock. (Only other time would be attractions CM's of the same ride conducting "show checks" to make sure everything's alright.)

Did I mention that I LOVE my job?!

Jphelps, give it time. Your questions will get answered. Many of us are busy and this board is a "when-we-get-the-time" hobby.

You can apply for a professional role online at www.disneycareers.com or www.disneyjobs.com. To apply for an hourly role (attractions, foods, retail, etc.) you'll need to apply in person at the "Team Disney Anaheim" building located behind Disneyland Park on Ball Road and Cast Place.

The "Casting Center" is your outlet and through a series of interviews/computer questions Disney reps determine whether or not you're a good fit for a role they might have open. If they feel you'd be better for a role not currently available they'll let you know and you might get called back when that position opens.

The Casting Directors, at least mine, were very determined to see me in a specific role, unfortunately that role and others had no open spots and I was willing to do anything to get in the door so off to the hotels I went.

The hotels have been an amazing experience and I've enjoyed my time there. The management teams are committed to seeing me and others who'd like to go somewhere in the company through to success.

As far as Dream Squad roles go...

The Dream Squad was created to facilitate the 2007/2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway and be the Guest Service Ambassadors of the "Year of a Million Dreams."

Because the Dream Squad roles are the most sought-after on the resort, the length of a Cast Member's stay is only 3-4 months. Then, with the exception of a few retained, the entire Squad is re-cast by Dream Squad management.

In order to be on Dream Squad you must have an incredible passion for all things Disneyland. The average DS Ambassadors are only selected after a pretty competitive process in which they are heavily evaluated and judged based on their Guest Service skills. A prerequisite for applying is how long you've been with the company.

Your attendance and performance record are also examined closely and result in even the greatest Cast Members being eliminated.

Unfortunately Dream Squad will be ending Dec. 31st as the "Year of a Million Dreams" is laid to rest. The final cast of the Dream Squad is currently in place.

*!*!*> Ladies and gents, on a side note I'd like to point out that these Cast Members are phenomenal. If you have a chance, please, chat with them. They are in place to serve you and enjoy the same Disneyland you love.

Heck, invite them on a ride with you. I read stories on this board all the time of wonderful interactions with Cast Members and how they make your trips.

When not giving away "Dream prizes," the Dream Squad exists to help you make the most of your visit and to be the bar when it comes to outstanding Guest Service and magical experiences.

Get to know them before they're gone!
