Default Happiest Bathrooms on Earth

This may be quite random... but I believe Disney deserves some rarely-offered kudos for one of the most important factors that make it the perfect place:
its bathrooms.
No public place I have ever been to has had as many bathrooms, all immaculate, as Disneyland Resort. (I'm sure the other resorts are the same) In fact, bathrooms are a serious problem for many public areas.

Think about it... long lines are rare at the Disney bathrooms, even in the summer (although I've only been there once, it was July 4 week and still, even the ladies' rooms did not have lines)
So congrats to DL! and what do you all think about this strange observation?

I agree, of course! RR for which I am most grateful for the size and quality - at the tram station. Very much appreciated after a two-hour ride to the park with my 81-year-old father!

I totally agree!! This is sssssssuuuuuuuuper embarrasing, but I have a confession. When I was little, I absolutely refused to 'go' on automatic toilets. (I'm talking 2,3,4) Well, one time at Disneyland, I went into one of my infamous temper tauntrums (again, when I was little) and I would NOT go on the automatic toilet, so a Cast Member came up to me with a Mickey Mouse sticker and plush and gave it to me if I went! I was sooo happy! I never had the fear to go on automatic toilets again!!

Aaaaah... I had to get that off my chest. :)

I've long said that DLR restrooms are AMAZING for their use and abuse.

I've never been to another public place, let alone one of the BUSIEST in the world, that could keep their restrooms so amazingly clean.

Major kudos.

I usually always thank the bathroom attendants but I think they always assume I'm patronizing them. I really mean it, folks. Excellent work and thank you!

I so agree with you. I may be 28 but after drinking 2 bottels of water on the very bummpy North bound 5 freeway I can't wait to get to the Mickey and Friends tram station Restrooms.

My daughter was 6 last year and we went through the "I refuse to go on sensored toilets" phase so you are not alone. It did make things a bit inconvenient. She would only go back at our hotel where the toilets did not flush automatically. Who knew a child could hold it so long? It's a wonder she didn't get a bladder infection but just how can you MAKE a child go? Anyway, this was one time I was slightly dissappointed with Disneyland. We tried to go to the baby center because we were told they might have small self flush potties but the cm refused to let her in because she was too old. I understand policy but good grief this was an emergency! Anyway, she did give us stickers to put over the sensors but it did not work too well so DD continued to hold it as long as possible. She still hates loud potties but I am hoping she does better this year. Not counting on it though as she can be VERY stubborn. I am hoping we might find a self flusher somewhere closer than the hotel.

I gotta say: I LOVE the DL bathrooms! Quite possibly the best bathrooms in the world. But on my last trip there, I thought that the motion-sensor flushes started a bit quickly...I had barely stepped away from the toilet when it began spraying water into the air!

As much as I like the bathrooms, there are always some crazy parents and their even crazier children in there. I hardly ever go into a bathroom without some tot running around because of a reckless parent. (So I have to double-check that my stall can lock! ) Whenever my family and I take a bathroom break, we always have great stories to share right after because of some insane child in our bathroom. Although it may not be the most likely of sources, the bathrooms in DL nonetheless provide my family with great Disney memories.

I love Disney bathrooms! My favorite has to be the ones in the Grand Californian Hotel on the first floor in the lobby... they're so clean and have pretty music playing, it reminds me of afternoons after lunch at White Water Snacks and listening to the live piano music.

Don't be embarrassed, Brer Rabbit! My first experience with the automatic toilets was at Disneyland when they were first around. I can't remember how old I was, but I was certainly 10 or older. Darn thing started flushing while I was still on it, and I'm still nervous around them at age 31!

My 4 YO daughter, however, loves automatic flush toilets so much since her first DL trip that she's taken to expecting every public toilet to flush automatically. She's always glad to be back at Disneyland, with the Happiest Toilets on Earth.

LOL I still am startled if the toilets suddenly go off when I'm still sitting on them!

I've made this observation, you know you're not in DL when you have to flush your own toilet. LOL!
