Default Grad Nite questions!

so at gradnight, im going this year and i was just wondering,
do they show fantasmic? omg, i went to disneyland saturday,
and got the worst seats for fantasmic, people waited at 730! already
and how cool is that, now you dont have to be in front of the castle to watch the dreams come true. haha that was amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzing.

AND! i was watching the first 50 years of disneyland, and
steve martin said "everyone has their own memories at disneyland,"
for example, it might be the first time to walk through the castle.

Well mine is fantasmic, and seeing it for the first time.
im amazed at how precise the timing and i just love it.

P.S. So many people this saturday,
but the line wasnt bad. :]

Sorry. No Fantasmic or RDCT. When I went a couple of years back they had certain rides closed down in Fantasyland. For the entire night they had about 4 different showings of a new fireworks show just for the grads there featuring current music hits. Also, there are different dance stages in different areas of the park. On Main Street (at the hub) they have modern music; in Tomorrowland (at Tomorrowland Terrace) they have techno, in Fantasyland (there really is no dance floor, but they do have "chill areas" where they gave out free samples of coke) they have 80's and oldies. In Frontierland they have 2, 1st in the Festival Arena they have country/line dancing, and next to Big Thunder they have salsa. In Adventureland (inside Aladdin's Oasis) they have hip-hop and R&B, in New Orleans Square they have jazz and swing (at the French Market), and finally in Critter Country (on the second floor of the Hungry Bear restaurant) they have love/slow music. Trust me, you'll have a blast.

I originally wrote this for someone who went last year. This should pretty much sum up any Grad Nite questons you may have. And if there anything that you want to know thats not answered here, then just let me know.

I had a few questions though:

1. What are the hours of Grad Nite on May 31st if anyone knows?
2. What Rides/Shows/Attractions will be closed to us? (Such as The Tiki Room, Fireworks, Fantasmic etc)
3. What restaurants do we have access to? I want to know because I really want to eat at the Blue Bayou again.
4. Where/How does one get the birthday pins and stickers? My birthday is actually the 28th but I?m looking forward to celebrate it down there.
5. How much are the Mickey Mouse Graduation Hats/Ears and can you get them embroidered?

If anything else comes up I'll ask, I just really want to know these now.

In this order:
1. I believe its Midnight til 6 am, but pretty much ends until every starts clearing out to catch the busses cause you'll see people still dancing here ther or shopping. But every night has the same amount of hours.
2. Everything runs normally, as for shows like Fantasmic, sorry to say no. This goes for RDCT, they do a seperate firework thing. If I remember from last year, they do a short firework display every hour.
3. Once again, everything should be open, but as for Blue Bayou, most likely not.
4. City Hall just ask for it, but again, I don't really know for Grad Night.
5. couldn't tell ya, but i will say this, get your stuff as soon as you walk in there. Otherwise they'll be nothing left, trust me, its bad at the end of the night. and even half wa through the night, so get to that shop first!

The thing about grad night is that it is for you and your friends. You wont get a Disneyland experience as you would if you got there on an ordinary day. It is way different! im not saying thats its not worth it but because it was the best time i have ever had at Disneyland it is just not what many expect but a great fun experience. just take the night as it comes and make sure you do your shopping first, watch the fireworks and just have a blast.

I am still a sophomore, but I am planning NOT to go to Grad night...*Dodges rocks* I would rather go during the day where I can just enjoy it without super long lines and crazy people my age.

You know though, the lines arent that long really, they move pretty quickly. I mean, seriously compared to what they look during the day, the look short, but thats because of fastpass. But since they dont use it for this, they just look longer and it would probablybe the same wait time as if you were to be in the standby line. And its really more of a being with your friends thing. Oh and trust me, you'll want to live it up your senior year. I never really did too much with the school until my last year and glad I didnt miss out on it. And it was gonna be the same like that with Grad Nite, you wont want to regret on not going.

I missed my grad night at dland because I was Seymour in our school's Spring Play which was the same weekend. We were 12 hours away (and yes, our school drove for 12 hours to go, haha).
