Talking Going Backstage after Fantasmic

I forgot that I was going to post this. It was about a month ago. Fantasmic! had just let up, and we were being escorted towards Main Street. Remember had just been cancelled due to "wind conditions at high conditions". There was absolutely no one moving on Main Street, and so a bunch of cast members were heading some of us to the Coke Corner. They were actually leading us backstage, where they were practically shoving us behind the Emporium! It was really cool! It was at night, but I could still tell that we were walking behind the Main Street Shops. We also walked right by the Jungle Cruise boat storage and what appears to be a break room (there was a soda machine and a guy smoking inside). For those of you who want to see backstage, it's actually not much. Just a ton of pipes, a ton of little electric cars, and almost everything was painted green!

Has this happened to anyone lately?

My boyfriend and I couldn't take waiting any longer for Roger Rabbit's CTS (we had already been in line 45 minutes behind some really annoying kids), so we went out a door that said Exit, that actually led us backstage! It was awesome! We didn't want to get in trouble, so we quickly found the door that said, "To Toontown" and left. There wasn't a lot to see, just some storage buildings it looked like, but now I can say I've been backstage!

We had the same experience one time leaving the park when it was really crowded. We were ushered behind the Main Street shops also. I had the privilage once of getting to go through the costume department back stage. A friend of mine worked there and she got permission to show us around. It was really neat. Rows and rows and rows of costumes! It was fun trying to guess where each one was worn. As we were leaving, we saw Chip & Dale with their heads off!! They were heading towards the doors to go out into the park. I tried not to look!

Oooh! That is so cool! Although... I probably wouldn't want to see some headless characters - probably would give me nightmares for the rest of my life!!

Talking GradNite backstage

My GradNite was 1982 and my school had early entry. We got Tomorrowland to ourselves for an hour, and then the rest of the schools came in. (Space Mountain! NO Lines! WooHOO!) We entered the park through a big gate and walked through a backstage area into Tomorrowland. There wasn't anything to see, just alot of blank walls. I didn't realize it was backstage. I was just thinking Where on earth are they leading us?

I don't know if this is considered backstage but; My brother and I were waiting in line for Indy, and he had to go the the bathroom! I told a castmember and she took us to the break area for the castmembers. While my brother was in the bathroom, I noticed on the wall there was a list of what to do, what not to do, how to dress, and how not to dress. It was coooooool!!

My grad nite was in 1998. We were lead backstage to get into the park. We entered behind Splash Mountain. Similar to Ezra, I was wondering where we were going! I wish I would have payed more attention now, but I was so excited to get into the park, I wasn't as attentive as I normally am. (I hadn't been to DL in 4 years)
