The bad thing is that my birthday lies in one of the busiest seasons in Disneyland Resort, Summer.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

Totally missed that one. I got all excited about birthday fun card and didn't focus on the rest. That would be a good option for saving for Saturday VF events.

That is interesting because I heard they were going to re use the dreams come true parade at disney world...and I really would not put it past them. We re use things all the time. But this new celebration is going to be fun!!!

Yes, you can only get into one park. And it is only going to be a domestic celebration. So only at disneyland and disneyworld. I am sure many people are going to have a blast. This is definintly a magical moment that everyone can enjoy!!!! I am also syched about the new entertainment shows on main street and other surprises in store!!!!! So guys, "What will you celebrate?"

Thanks for the info guys. Though, if we do get my ticket and wait, were going to have to do it between Dec 26- Dec 31, or else it becomes 2010, and then it's void.

Oh well, I'm going to be begging for more AP's next May when ours expire anyway.

Oh man, I have to wait until next August for this? Sad. But maybe we can do this for my step-dad's birthday in February.

Q: I can't come on my birthday. Can I get free admission to a Theme Park on another day?

A: Unfortunately, no. The free admission to a Theme Park on your birthday offer means just what it says. It's only valid for free admission on your birthday in 2009.

Neo is referring to the Annual Passholder option:
"A 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday. "

You just have to pick up the ticket on your birthday. You don't have to actually use that option on your birthday.

Actually, Neo is correct.

I think you are talking about seperate things. If you show up on your birthday in 2009 you can get "A 1-Day/1-Park Disneyland® Resort ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday."

There is a certain ambiguity here that I hope everyone sees and isn't confused by.

The FAQ does say:
Quote:
Q: I can't come on my birthday. Can I get free admission to a Theme Park on another day?
A: Unfortunately, no. The free admission to a Theme Park on your birthday offer means just what it says. It's only valid for free admission on your birthday in 2009.
But then it says...
Quote:
Q: I am an Annual Passholder (or have a valid Multi-Day Ticket that I will use for admission on my birthday in 2009), so I don't need to take advantage of this offer. If I register, is there anything else I could receive on my birthday?

A: Yes, you have several options which are available for you to select once you arrive at the Park with your confirmation message and your proper ID. You can receive:

A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Disneyland® Resort; or
A special birthday FASTPASS® ticket+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
A 1-day One Day/One Park base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.
So the first quote is only for people who are unable to get themselves to one of Disney's theme parks on their birthday. They are, unfortunately, shut out of everything this promotion has to offer.

However, if you can be at the parks on your birthday, and already have pre-paid admission in the form of AP or Park-Hopper tickets, one of your options is a 1-day 1-park ticket to be used sometime in the next 364 days. But choosing that option comes at the expense of the other options. (I hope I'm not the only one cynical enough to think that tons of these complimentary tickets will start popping up all over Ebay...)

Hopefully this is clear to everyone.

What I find unfortunate is that the only mentioned location where this stuff can be redeemed at is the Main Entrance ticket booths outside the parks. Which means, you're now stuck in line with everyone else waiting to buy tickets! I know I'm pointing out the one cloud in the sky, but still, happy birthday. Hopefully they'll make places like City Hall or the AP Center redeemable locations as well. Those lines at the ticket booths can be pretty long before 11am, which is when the FAQ page says the Birthday FastPass will likely no longer be available past. Doesn't make much sense to me to wait an additional time in an additional line to pick up a special FastPass that will hopefully save time waiting in other lines...

In regards to your post, Matt, the one-day ticket that would be issued to those people is good for only the birthday person in question. I noticed this in the fine print. My guess is that they'll issue you a ticket or some paper with your name on it. However, if a person has an AP, why would they choose a one-day ticket when they have the AP? My guess is that Disney will then direct them to one of the other options. I understand that Disney may not want tickets floating around, but maybe it would be a better idea if the person could designate a person to receive the ticket instead of themselves.
