Default The First Time You met Mickey Mouse

the very first time you can remember, that is...
when? how old were you? what land? what park? exactly at what point, if you know?
For me, it was just last year. July 6, 2007 (my first day at DL, or any disney park for that matter). I was 15 and entering Main St. USA at around 8:230 pm to get ready for the fireworks. Then my dad said "hey isn't that goofy?" I turned to my right and saw goofy standing in the dark by 50 magical years... I ran up to him (he had like a lineup of 3 people, noone had noticed him) and then I turned and saw mickey about 2 paces away from him, with no one lining up.
it was very magical!!!

Thats a good question. One time that sticks in my head was back in 2001. I was 8 years old and we went to WDW. Which at that time was HUGE for me, I was so excited. What made it even more enjoyable was my best guy friend at the time with his family. He was only 1 year older than me, but we always did a lot together. So WDW, place and than Mickey's Toontown Faire. So we had a long day at WDW, I was pretty tired, but I wanted to see Mickey Mouse so bad. It was super late, and we were walking and they had this like circus tent type of place. Long and Behold, MICKEY MOUSE was there. Oh I was so excited, there was only one girl in front of is so after her I got a picture and than me and my friend with our parents. It was great. I just remember that being so magicial to see him and that is one of my fondest memories of being with Mickey. I will treasure that memory forever!

Yes, I remember. I was 2 1/2 yrs old (back in 1987) and it was beautifully captured in photographs (heres a siggy I made once, with a pic of me and Mickey on the right: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Samiam2/dis.jpg ). I remember I grabbed Mickey's nose -- a tradition I continued well into my childhood. I'd love to do it again (who can resist?! lol) but I guess the park frowns upon that stuff now, plus I'm too old to be doing it lol. But somebody got a pic of me grabbing his nose back when I was too -- he put his gloved hands around mine, and then to my left you can see this other little girl laughing her head off. I really gotta scan it.

I too was about 2 years old and CRIED MY HEAD OFF!!!
Yes, you heard me right...Mickey (my absolute favorite character) had to put up with me crying my head off.
ME.
The same guy who 24 years later would be hired to be characters at Disneyland.

October 8, 2001. Mickey's House. I was 22, I was on my Honeymoon, and it was my first time at Disneyland.

I don't remember when I first met Mickey, but as a kid I always cried when I saw costumed characters. My parents constantly recall the time I wailed when Gepetto was a long way across from me..
