Default Fireworks from Main St. Station-WOW!

Tonight I went to the park just to watch the fireworks (love that season pass!..)

I didn't want to deal with the *HUGE* crowds that try to get down main street right after the fireworks end...so I decided to try and watch them from the Main Street Train Station.

This is a great spot.

First, there is not a very large crowd up there. There is when the fireworks start, but you can get a good spot up until right before the fireworks begin.

Second, the whole show appears different from back here. The shooting stars appear to shoot *A LOT* higher from farther back. The criss-crossing looking rockets that go behind the castle in the "Electrical Parade" sequence and during the pirates explosion also appear to go WAYYYYYYYYY higher than when you are in the hub.

The drawbacks are things like the fireworks that appear to surround you when you are watching from the hub, while impressive from the train station as you can see where they come from, don't give the same emotion as they do when they envelop you.

Also, they did not have the flames during the Indiana Jones sequence tonight. I thought it was maybe just because I didn't see them, but I heard people in the entry plaza talking about it as well.

Anyway, long post, but the fireworks are great from the train station. If I was only going one day, I would watch them from the hub, but if you have multiple days, check out this nice alternative!

I agree, Kyle. In fact, I've never seen them from anywhere else and didn't know about the light show on the castle until I downloaded RU42's video. Fireworks were scheduled for Monday so I went to the hub to get that experience, then they were cancelled. I would still like to experience it once in the hub, but forever after I'm a train station watcher.

Hey, I was there last night also. I always sit to the right of the "partners" statue when viewing the fireworks. And yeah, for some reason the flames weren't working...bummer.

You know what else didnt work last night, was when they do the two shooting stars when Mickeys head appears in the sky, only one shooting star from the right went off, instead of two...but the two that are at the very begining worked...just remembered that.

Miguel, last night, I started to stand to the back of the partners statue where the trash can is, but it was too crowded and I didnt want to be there all night waiting for everyone to leave, thats why I picked the trian station.

This first time i saw the fireworks i wasn't even in the parks. I was in my Hotel room at the Marriot. It was our first night of A-X which was July 1st, and some had gone to the dance which meant there were two of us. We were on the 15th floor and we saw the Pirates part, we tried taking pics but we lack that skill. Plus the Hilton was blocking our view. Second time was right outside of DL. Three of us went down to see it. We caught it at the Adventureland part.
I wish to thank RU for the video cause we were playing it while the fireworks were going on.

I think a camera that was set up on a tripod filming this it would come out great. It truly is amazing. Someone should get a video of it.

The thing that I couldn't get over is just how much BIGGER some of the fireworks looked. it was nuts.

Here is a picture of what the fireworks look like from main street station. found this on mouse planet.

Taxx-this has been discussed a lot, it hasn't been officially announced, but we all assume after the 50th is over, as it's a 50th anniversary based show. However, a lot of us hope the fireworks stay for awhile.

I'm thinking it's going to stick around for a few years. Maybe a slightly modified version to use after the 50th is over to get rid of the 50th specific dialogue.

I am fortunate in that I have a home video of the whole fireworks display that I took last year....It turned out really well. We are able to watch it whenever we want. I also got a good home video of fantasmic from the balcony!!
