Hi all want to see how my job is click this link and download this software this is what software we use for special events at Disneyland and what I use for my own lighting http://www.nicolaudie.com/main.php?id_page=4 this is the best software and the only software I use on my lighting but Dienyland does not use the software but i do so go ahead try it you do not need any lighting to use it it has a 3d visualizer so you can see the show before you play it in real life!!

Hey Christopher. Seeing that your the big Fantasmic guy, I am wondering if you've seen the RCT Fantasmic movie made by one of my close friends, Jmainaz? If you havn't, it's a MUST SEE! We are currently planning on remaking it later this year but using the Disneyland Version insted. He used WDW's Version because it was more RCT3 friendly.

Christopher
Its not made specifically by me. It was a friend of mine. His name is Jason. We are just thinking about remaking it. He did it all by himself. He absolutly loves Fantasmic and the release of this RCT3 movie truley revolutionized the way we look at any video game created movies. Heres the link.

Christopher,

I loved all the info I have gotten on this thread. Thanks for all your posts.

I think one of the things that Make Fantasmic so awesome is Walt's interest in combining live action and animation. Now we can see the live action-animation combination in a live performance. What a great tribute to him!

Is the control booth above The Disney Gallery?

I am most definitely NOT trying to step on anyones shoes here but I have a comment to make.

I do not see any credibility behind this post. I mean sure it sounds great (and quite frankly being a Fantasmic! tech would be a dream job for me) but somethings just don't match up here.

I was looking over the 'cues' list that began this post. What I quickly thought was that a show of this calibur has to be automated. There is no possible way that a person could hit 'go' for all of those cues -- much less ten people. From my understanding as a technical lighting person a show of this nature has to be somewhat if not totally automated. There is no possible way a person could be cued to ignite pyro or change color media (the color of lights) at the same time 240 days out of the year (I would say 365 but Fantasmic! doesn't perform all the time).

To launch pyro like that it HAS to be done by computer so it can be launched at precisely the right time -- which is in hundreths of seconds.

Second Disney has very strict guidelines about talking about the company on the internet. If you are an assistant lighting director you are a pretty high profile guy and such could be found a whole lot easier than just the CM working the ODV carts.

In the end I could be totally wrong, but things just don't match here. Again I am NOT trying to piss anyone off and maybe I just need clarification of things. But like I said this sounds pretty phony to me...

Yeah that movie was so popular he was forced to do a behind the scenes website showing pretty much how he made everything.

Heres the link:

http://www.putmeonthenet.net/themaking.htm

Ill be sure to tell him you loved it. He will be extatic.
