The techs have to be real careful at WDW's though with the dragon. It's having a lot of problems lately. The operators are having some difficulties in getting her head to stay straight. Last time I talked to WDE Fant-crew they said that in the coming months they'll get a dragon that'll work better. For now, the crew just have to take it easy with her. Makes the puppeteers angry as they can't get her to really move.

The biggest difference though between the 2 shows is the lagoon at WDW is so small, that we just can't fit more show floats. Meanwhile, DL has got working room.

Puppeteers? That entire thing is computer controlled. Except for the wings. Its a articulated boom lift apparatus hydraulically controlled, same with DLRs, except theirs has two animation techs below the stage that operate
bucky.

And they are called show barges. Both shows have 3 barges that are double purposed.

Well...they wanted a stadium for the show...they got one...

Yea, sorry, we in costuming have to refer to them as puppeteers. That's what they make us call them, so I've gotten use it to. Don't ask me why, it's just what we have to refer to them by as that's what written. We have to call the techs driving the barges Float Operators. I know they're barges. WDE C&C at WDW is very strict in how we have to refer to each person we have to deal with. I have no clue what they call themselves other than techs. We call the guy we have in the basement as Elevator. This isn't his job to control it, but we for reasons unknown to me have to call him that.

Refer to who as puppeteers? No one at WDW operates her except for the wings. I assume you work on the show?

Use to, back in 2006. I'm over a DAK now. I only see Fant during meetings. And then it's just C&C management. And I referred to to the wings, btw with the puppeteers. The only interaction with the techs if FR jackets every now and then, if required that night. But again, it's been since 06.

Okay, called my friend Dave. You're right about the arm operators. The puppeteers still do their thing. And now the the techs over there are now just called techs. Man, I really need to catch up with the other parks, been in DAK to long...
