First of all. Please dont double post.
Use the edit option to add to your post XD

The "Dream Fast Pass" can be won if your are lucky enough to have the "Dream Squad" at Disneyland choose you and your group randomly.
The "Dream Squad" gives away many prizes to lucky random people at Disneyland. The "Dream Squad" is part of the "Year Of A Million Dream's" promotion XD

Basically you just have to be in the right place at the right time! It's totally random.

I haven't gotten one yet, but I SAW someone with one yesterday! Haha.

Well, what I saw was like a big card with little tabs for different rides? I'm pretty sure that was it... It had the Year of a Million Dreams logo and stuff on it.

Well not quite totally random. You do have to be the 'right place' which just about all of the time means the exit queue of some obscure attraction such as Mickey's House in Toontown, or Winnie the Pooh, or BLAB, or HISTA or some other bottom-of-the-list attraction. You also do have to be there at the 'right time' which just about all of the time means the first 2 hours of operating day. Instead of it being totally random, it becomes a reward for people kind enough to boost the attendance numbers of the less-visited attractions in the very beginning of their day.

Same goes for the more obscure areas of the park. Anyone wandering through Ariel's Grotto in the early morning (why?) might find a surprise, or the very back of Toontown (just in case a rather long walk that bypassed all the major attractions was the first thing you wanted to do), or the dead end at Winnie the Pooh (though you must have ridden Pooh to be awarded the DFP in the exit queue). Do something just about 99% of people wouldn't do, and your 'dream' has a lot better chance of coming true.

Why do it this way? Because they'll give out less prizes, thus saving money while making it more 'special' for the ones who do win (and the accounting dept.). That's pretty obvious, but to do that while calling the giveaway 'totally random' is pretty much complete contradiction.

Aww. It'd be really difficult to get one! Lol. Oh, well.

Do they work like any FastPass?

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

I won em three times. tiwce on my trip in 07. the first time, we exited pinnochio at around 9am, and our whole group got one, first time was awesome. we always do one morning for just fantasyland rides, and we happened to get lucky. after a couple days we got another one as we were exiting soaring over california, it was probably within the first hour of park opening, best thing about that day though, was we then immediately went to disney animation, and as we were walking in were given the year of a million dreams lanyard. we were shocked we got two dreams in one day. then this past august, again on our one fantasyland morning, exiting pinnochio at around 9am AGAIN (hint to those who want one) we got them again. we kind of cheated though, as we were waiting in line for Dumbo I saw that everyone exiting pinnochio had the fastpasses, so immediately after dumbo we raced to pinnochio, rode it and our group got the last ones given out that day.

Be advised that there are several thousand random locations that a computer selects. Whether or not the Dream Squad is at the exit of Pooh or anywhere else depends specifically on where the computer decides.

The times and locations ARE random. The only thing set in stone about time for the giveaway is that prizes are generally distributed between park opening and 5pm, as stated in the official rules of the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway.

On a personal note I've given away hundreds of prizes at several E-ticket attractions, not to mention insanely busy walkways and major points of congregation throughout the resort.

This Disney Dreams Giveaway is worth over $13 million. Last year the amount of 'dreams' distributed surpassed the 1 million calling and the decision was made to continue at the same rate so more Guests could experience some of the extra magic.

From what I understand the same thing is about to happen again as of this month and the parks will continue to distribute prizes either way.

If you've seen as many tears of joy and been hugged as much as I have when telling someone they'll be able to live a dream they never had the resources or ability to pull off, you might better understand that the Year of a Million Dreams is something truly spectacular and just an added bonus for the Guests that are already visiting the Happiest Place on Earth.

This promotion has changed lives in an extraordinary way.
