Default Does Disney ever bring back old attractions?

Does anyone know if Disney ever brings back old attractions? I loved Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and then they go and close it. But unless I'm mistaken the building is still empty so does anyone know if there's any chance at all of them bringing it back? Or if there is an email address that I can send something to telling them how important it is that they bring that back?

In the case of Millionaire, ABC lost the rights to the show. It's currently being aired, but in syndication. The copyrights are not owned by ABC/Disney, so the live shows in DCA & Disney Studios had to come to an abrupt end. It's a shame, they were very fun to go to. Fortunately, I made into the hot seat in both DLR & WDW before they were closed.

As for old attractions, they do come back sometimes. The Submarine Voyage will have its first guests in the lagoon in a decade. The MSEP made a comeback at DCA, jazzing up ist nighttime lineup. Space Mountain was repainted bronze, then repainted back to its classic white. But, there are far more cases of rides going off into the sunset and remaining in the realm of memories and nostalgia.

They RARELY bring back old attractions. If it has gotten ALOT of complaints at City Hall they may bring it back by popular demand or replace it with something similar/better/totally different. Hope this helps!

As far as I know, only the Electrical Parade and the Submarine Voyage have ever made comebacks. Hopefully the Peoplemover will make a return.

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is the only attraction I can think of that was replaced and returned once in the 1970s. It remains to be seen if he will return again.

The Submarine Voyage is gone - it was not refurbished or plussed. A new and different submarine ride is built in its place with a Finding Nemo theme.

The Main Street Electrical Parade, being a parade and not an attraction, takes less commitment to bring back (to Disneyland proper) than something like the Carousel of Progress/America Sings, Peoplemover, Skyway ... etc. Originally it was "brought back" every summer.

I don't really feel that a coat of paint constitutes an attraction as having left, but some have strong emotional ties to certain attractions and I understand that an attraction having lost it's magic to them would make it "gone".

I heard they were bringing back PM, maybe. But I'm not sure about that. I have only heard about the subs coming back. The skyway could be brought back, but with caged gondolas like in DCA, the sunwheel.

Only if they cut holes in the Matterhorn again. Skyway was removed for other reasons, apart from people falling out. Note that it was also removed from Walt Disney World. It was a slow throughput attraction, requiring too many cast members for the number of guests that could ride at once, and it had problems loading and unloading handicapped passengers. Skyway will not be returning.

It would be WONDERFUL if some of the old attractions were to come back! Can you imagine a retro Disney?

I know it was old, but I liked "Mission To Mars!"

Hey, instead of Retro Attractions, how about Retro M emorabilia? I used to have a hat With a Blue front that had Mickey's face on it! That was the bomb when I was 5!!!

I always thought of Mission: Space as a 21st Century re-imagineering of the Mission to Mars concept.

Oh man that would be nice. Bring back the Moonliner, and use technology off of Mission Space. I kinda doubt it would come back due to the amount of seating. The lines would be pretty long for a ride that only has one room.

Oh before I forget, there's another rumor about the Rocket Jets coming back in place of the Observatron again when the PM comes back. I don't think the Observatron should be taken out. Just fixed up because its the most futuristic looking thing in Tomorrowland to me, next to Space Mountain.

They could do what they do for Soarin' and create 2 sides.

...but of course we're still dreaming! They'll never bring it back in any form.

I believe that Walt would probably say (and he probably did) "Never say Never"
