Your thinking of what was in Fantasyland which was Captain Hook's Pirate Ship in a very small lagoon and was actually a Chicken of The Sea Restaurant with Skull Rock next to it that you could walk around. It was in the part of Fantasyland that now is occupied by Dumbo. As fun as it sounds, no. I am tired of pirate things all over the park. Just my opinion though.

I wasn't around to see it myself, but I've seen pictures of it in The "E" Ticket magazine and it really looks cool! I guess my only concern would be, sort of like what Executioner said, they turn it into some POTC-related spot. But if it stuck to its original Peter Pan theme, it would be pretty neat!

I have memories of Skull Rock from when I was 3 or so. I remember that, for such a young girl anyway, there was a kind of mystique about it. I do miss it, although I like the current Fantasyland layout, too. And the Bavarian Village theme gives me the same enchanted feeling about Fantasyland that Skull Rock did all those years ago.

I guess I'd like to see it make a return, but I don't know where they'd put it, and I agree with Ex that the pirates have invaded Disneyland plenty. Any return of Skull Rock at the present moment would seem like another sell-out to me.

Also from what I have gathered is is that the skull and ship are in DLP. The skull still the same just redesigned on the outside to look like different rock. It's part of the Adventure Isle and you can go through the skull. Here are 2 links showing you them.

The top one, scroll down to Adventureland.

The skull rock lagoon in DLP is awesome. This still would have been a nice touch to have in DL and pay homage to the Peter Pan movie. (Not Pirates). I feel sometimes that DL and especially WDW lack these cute and exciting little 'visual extras', if you will.
