Yep Thats what I watched. Then I ran upstares and played RU42's Fantasmic. No comparison at all. Plus I forgot some critisms. but its too late now. Malifencent (I have no clue lol) exited the stage and she turned around and just i beleive she fell through a whole lol. Plus they were doing the wave in the crowd, that was pretty funny.

Yeah but that wasn't even scripted. Harrison Ford was screwing around one time, and originally there was supposed to be a huge dule...

it trys to be somthing its not.
-Epic
and
-Good.

For some reason Disneylands seems alot more epic than WDW's. With the mark twain and the huge finale. As aposed to WDW's wind-up toy steam boat and puny finale.

I love both of them a lot, but I voted for Disneyland! The mountain at MGM is really cool and SOME of the scenes with newer characters (like the snake fight with Jafar and the montage on the water screens during the Princess medley). BUT...I had seen Disneyland's Fantasmic! about 4 or 5 times before WDW even had one, and we had Disneyland's soundtrack. WDW doesn't have a Pinocchio marionette, pink elephants, or my favorite non-Mickey scene in any Fantasmic!, the Peter Pan battle on the Columbia! (OK, of course, MGM doesn't have a Columbia...still, the Peter Pan scene is much cooler than the Pocahontas one at MGM).

Both of them are exhilerating, but Disneyland's is definitely my favorite.

Does anyone else remember the giant Ursula from Disneyland's Fantasmic? When did they eliminate that?

I think they elimenated it around 2000-2001.It would be cool to see the float in person.

In WDW's version, although well executed, the Pocahontas scene (instead of Peter Pan's) just kills the momentum of the show (after the whirlwind scene), as well as the little paddleboat in the end (well, after seeing the Mark Twain, WDW's seems "small").
Nevertheless, I think that there are good segments and it's great that MGM's Fantasmic is not an exact clone of DL's, but the fact that you have to go to a specific location to wait for the show (with limited seating), makes me think that in MGM Studios you just go for the "big show to end the day", while in Disneyland you know that you are really experiencing the product of "Mickey's imagination", and you can do it from wherever you want to: you can get your place in advance all around the shore of the Rivers of America, or maybe arrive a little late and still find a good spot to watch most of the show, and even see it while walking between Splash and Big Thunder Mountain.
I mean that it's just magical to see that a couple of hours earlier, those walkways were clear and the structures with the spotlights weren't there!
Finally, DL's Fantasmic! could use a little update (as long as nothing is taken out from the main story), yet it is impressive that 13 years later, it is still the must-see attraction of Disneyland Park.

I don't think they were trying to copy it. After all, it would get a little boring if every single park had exactly the same rides and shows.

Check out this video of Disneyland's Fantasmic! Enhanced. No flaws on the show, but the camera guy can't move the camera around. It is different type. Have you see the fountains so high up?

Disneyland Fantasmic! Enhanced.

I havent seen DL 's version of Fantasmic! so I voted WDW. But WDW's wansnt that great compared to what I hear about DL's. But I found the dragon in the WDW version very cheesy. It looked so bad they had to put extra smoke so no one could see it. All I could see was the eyes. And the whole water curtain was cool at first but it started taking up the whole show! I could just watch Disney cartoons on television! And the whole Pocohantas scene was very random.

I prefer Disneyland's Fantasmic because of the Mark Twain. In WDW's steamboat version, the characters look too cluttered.

Also, I like Mickey on top of the mill instead of the mountain. Anyway,

I love FANTASMIC!!!

I picked disneyland's I don't know if this is a reason or not, but I think Sorcerer mickeys choreography at DL is more dramatic then WDW. I've seen both in person and enjoyed it, but didn't care for the WDW one really :\
