don't you just love it when at the end of the show Mickey's at the top Tom Sawyer Island and all he does is spread out his arms and the crowd goes crazy! people clap, kids smile, everything in the boring real world is just forgotten for that beautiful moment. it really shows you all the support disneyland has and how everlasting Mickey is as a true American icon. it's just like the best thing on earth, that moment. it makes grown men cry and familys embrace. it's great!

oh ya and i think the polls speak for themselves, my friends...DISNEYLAND'S WINS!!!!!!

DLS Fantasmic! is way better then WDW, and i mean WAY better, no offense to WDW fantasmic luvers but i think its really cheesey and the boat i understand that its the steamboat but it looks so rinky dink after Dls fantasmic, WDW fantasmic is an appitizer and DLs fantasmic is a full meal and desert! and a dole whip! lol and the pocahontas scene is nice and all but the peter pan scene at DL is way better and more interesting. I do like the bubbles scene (but we have that now in RDCT small world view lol) and i dont get the magic lamp either lol

I have seen both. I've only watched videos of Disneyland's Fantasmic, but have seen WDW's Fantasmic, in the front row. I find that there are two perspectives of it. In disneyland, everything is more tight toghether (Melifecent), but in WDW, everything is spaced out(Melifecent). I choose both, because i like certian scenes that the other doesn't have, like in WDW, Mickey is way higher than in DL, but DL also has Pink Elephants & Pinochio. That's why for my musical, I included both Fantasmics. But the one thing i found in both, you still get that magical feeling that you can never get anywhere else, than Disney(Land & World).

Disneyland's Fantasmic is SOOOO much better! Some people have said that the only good thing about WDW's is that they have a stadium... I think this is the WORST part about it. The most magical thing about Disneyland's Fantasnmic is that all that stuff comes out of a quiet island that you yourself have been looking at and walking around all day! It just seems too set up when you walk into a stadium. It's almost like it comes out of no where when you are just sitting on the river banks and all the sudden it happens. Like Matt said earlier, it makes the rivers come alive at night.

...plus, leaving out the peter pan section is like killing the whole show... WDW's Fantasmic is dead to me.

Cool

DLR's fantasmic hands down. i love it its on my must see list when i go. WDW's fantasmic is okay. i hate the "hey a magic lap" and "enter the cave of wonders. why is he in there? if i was was told to i wouldnt go in. also the phocohantas scene i like its not as good as the peter pan scene but thats my girl so i cant hate. i also dont like the dancing bubbles. useless. whats the pont i dont think its that hard to set up the phocahantas scene.and the steamboat while looks like its going to sink with the characters just standing there. i love ours because we have peter, pinocho, the pink elephants, the mark twain boat, and we dont have 10 minute scenes on the mist screen. we have more action and mickey looks cool at the top of tom swayer island.

I think Disneyland's is way better for all of the reasons you guys have listed.

But WDW's did have some things I liked. Theirs has more water effects and I liked the bubble sequence and the Princess screen segment with Aurora & Phillip, Cinderella & Prince Charming and Aladdin & Jasmine.

Disneyland's is still 100 times better!

I have seen both Fantasmics and I really prefer the original at Disneyland. I agree with most of the people about the fact that Rivers of America "comes to life" by nightime, and that the use of the Mark Twain and Columbia add a special personality to both ships.
In WDW's version, although well executed, the Pocahontas scene (instead of Peter Pan's) just kills the momentum of the show (after the whirlwind scene), as well as the little paddleboat in the end (well, after seeing the Mark Twain, WDW's seems "small").
Nevertheless, I think that there are good segments and it's great that MGM's Fantasmic is not an exact clone of DL's, but the fact that you have to go to a specific location to wait for the show (with limited seating), makes me think that in MGM Studios you just go for the "big show to end the day", while in Disneyland you know that you are really experiencing the product of "Mickey's imagination", and you can do it from wherever you want to: you can get your place in advance all around the shore of the Rivers of America, or maybe arrive a little late and still find a good spot to watch most of the show, and even see it while walking between Splash and Big Thunder Mountain.
I mean that it's just magical to see that a couple of hours earlier, those walkways were clear and the structures with the spotlights weren't there!
Finally, DL's Fantasmic! could use a little update (as long as nothing is taken out from the main story), yet it is impressive that 13 years later, it is still the must-see attraction of Disneyland Park.
