Default Which Disneyland Space Mountain Soundtrack Do You Like Better?

Which one do you like better? The 1997 one or the 2005 one?

For me, it's the 2005, because the 1997 one doesn't sound cosmic-like and sounds more like a California Surfer Dude-type music.

^^ You forgot to include the Grad Nite 2006 RockIt Mountain Soundtrack. I voted for the 2005 version. That version is way better than the 1997 version.

2005 version all the way.

The old version is good too... But I just like the newer soundtrack better.

Like I said before it is all about the classics. The Dick Dale version is so much better than the current one. That is why I do not even put Space Mountain as a must do when I go ever since first hearing it on the ride. It just doesn't mix.

The new 2005 one, its a lot more spacey and cosmic (IMO)... yeah cosmic. Funny story, my friend rode the new Space Mountain 05 and said, "The music sounds like the Incredibles." Yeah, she has good ears lol.

I like them both. Plus you got to look at it like this, they were both made for a different type of experience. Dick Dale's version just wouldn't go with this version of SM. Both are very well made though. I can't vote on either one being better.

It's a different time period and all, however the intro to the old version mixed with the new soundtrack makes a lot more sense. The whole surfer aspect didn't seem to give the speed feeling that the new soundtrack has.

Yeah, even though, if you look at Space Mountain with all the lights on, it really doesn't look like it's going much fast at all. But I think the new music exaggerates the speed and mood to make it a really (I say) awsome thrill ride.

the new one for sure, the composer is truly amazing at this style of music. He has done other works like the Mission Impossible 3 theme for the movie, The Incredibles sound track and many others. I have much of his work on my Ipod including the Spacemountain track. It's funny when ever I listen to the Spacemountain music I can close my eyes and be right back on the ride.

I like them both, but I voted for the 1997 version because I could recall that one as soon as I read the question. I'm still trying to remember the 2005 version. I can only think of two little parts of it. It's just not as memorable.

Space music 2005 I think it has a more Spacey tune to it than Dale's did, But I also like that one too. Now what I want to see is Dale's music on California Screamin' now that would be assume.
