Disneyland Half Marathon

Is anyone going to the Disneyland Half Marathon?Will the park be closed?I am thinking about doing the 5k Family fun run with my mom and maybe my brother(I might be the only one to finish if my brother does not go.),and I have a few questions.Has anyone done it before?Will the park open after it is done,or does it take up the whole day?

Hey! This is the FIRST DL Half-Marathon! And I'm doing it! yay!
I have completed the WDW Marathon and Half Marathon and now traveling out west to run. This will be my first time to California! So, I'm really excited. I don't know about how this one will be run but at WDW MK is opened up for guests to go in (free, given a wristband) to cheer on the runners! Once it gets to be 9am though you must have a ticket. I'm guessing they'll do that since the race starts at 6am and we'll be running through the parks before they open. I hope they do that cause I want my mom to get a picture of me running through DL Main St and the castle.
You must be able to have a 16min per mile pace. A half marathon has a time limit and does not take the whole day. As soon as the last person passes they take down the cones and go on with regular park operations.
