Default Disneyland Deaf Day?

I was wondering if anyone knew about this?
I went last year for school cause I'm taking sign language and was wondering if anyone knew when the next one was in 2009? The last one was on March 2nd 2008. So if you guys find any information on it could you pm me or post it here.

Thanks,
Brandon

Yeah, its normally held like the first half of March every year. My sister's friend is deaf and we used to go all the time for Deaf Awareness Day at Disneyland. I remember though like 5 years ago the discounted ticket price for that was 32 dollars. Now its like over 40, but the 40 dollar tag was like 2 years ago, I'm sure its gone up.
As for the actual event itself, theres nothing different, its just a day of Deaf Awareness. Kinda like when the park does Gay Awareness, instead of gay people, you got deaf people. So the real only difference you'll see is the closed captioning EVEYWHERE!

It sounds a little more official than Gay Days, if they equip the park with closed captioning. Do any hotels participate in this in any way?

I dont believe any hotels do anything. I could be wrong though since I last participated like over 5 years ago. But from what I remember, no cause we stayed at the Candy Cane Inn, so either way, not a bad location since its literally on the same block as Disneyland

Man I want to go for Deaf Awareness Day! That'd be so awesome. I'm sure there'd be a bunch of people from my hometown, too, because we've got the California School for the Deaf (Riverside) there. I love sign language, I think it's so beautiful.

I've gone for the last two years, and it is always in the beginning of march.
It sound like it was different 5 years ago, now they have interpreters on various rides for whoever would like one. The interpreters are all volunteers from OC deaf and various other organizations; look for the people in green/turquoise shirts. My girlfriend was interpreting for the DL railroad this last march. I enjoy going on Deaf awareness day, My favorite thing to do is watch the ghost host spiel and how different people interpret it.
Next year’s calendar is not up yet but ohsoez.com has a list of various deaf events going on throughout the year in different parts of the country. They always list Disneyland’s deaf awareness day in the so. Cal. Section with info on the discounted tickets and volunteering info too. If you volunteer you get free admission and you only work for about a three hour time slot and the rest of the day to roam around. They have jobs/tasks for volunteers with various skill levels.
