Default Create your own Ride Queue Entrance

I was thinking about the Matterhorn the other day when people kept cutting through the chain gaps..Someone here said it would be cool to have a sort of Cave entrance to the queue..I came up with this...

What other queue entrances can you think of?

I've got a great idea.

Let's build an elevated loading station right in the middle of Tomorrowland. People will enter on the ground level, and get up to the platform via speedramps. Then they'll step onto a moving platform as the attraction they'll board never actually stops. What do you think?

I used to think that the Matterhorn should at least have an awning over the line with a heavy green canvas to blend into the landscaping, so guests would be shielded from the sun and rain. But I love the cave idea!

This is not for a ride, but I have thought it would be cool to have a walk way above Adventureland to ease the conjestion. Guess that would get conjested too.

I like that idea that PMM had. He, he. And how about space age elevators that take guests up to rocket ships where there can fly high above ground too!

Build over the outdoor BLAB queue. Though it moves fairly quickly, it gets hot out. It could be an expansion on what has already been done.

Yeah I mentioned this when we were discussing fastpasses and I thought it would be cool if they made the matterhorn queue into sort of a cave system, kind of like splash mountain with things to look at and stuff. Then it might also be easyer for them to put a fastpass line aswell.

I think the line up is important because take indiana jones for example. You spend a lot of time in the cave system type queue, and by the time you get to the ride, you actually feel like you are in a different world, you're mindset takes you there. It's the pre-ride prep. I think the lineups at disneyland is half the fun, I dont mind standing in line for an hour.

Simple. Destroy Edelweiss snacks and convert that whole front area into a indoor queue similar to EE at DAK but instead of Himalayas have a Swiss theme.

Then, uh, how do you get right across to the other side?

And we just got that stand built. It would be a waste getting rid of it right now.

I think the only (but very stupid) solution for the matterhorn is a queue built below the mountain, the sorroundings of the mountain are way too narrow for the cave idea, so the best solution is to throw it underground, but, you need to mess with the mountain's foundation, so, a lot of money in that

I had an idea to add to the The Haunted Mansion queue. I was thinking that what if the attraction was a Halloween attraction someone makes every year. Everything from Disneyland's version of the attraction will be the same, except the whole ride actually fits inside the mansion with the same track layout.

Anyways, I was thinking of having a base area for paranormal investigation equipment in front of the steps of the mansion. There are several monitors with different rooms from the mansion to detect any paranormal activity. Every few minutes, something strange occurs in each room. All of a sudden, every monitor loses signal and starts showing a collaboration of 3 popular paranormal television shows: Scariest Places on Earth, Ghost Hunters, and Ghost Adventures. All three shows are put together to inform us and investigate Gracey Manor.

If anyone wants to read the introduction I thought up, let me know and I'll post it here.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
Sesshomaru-sama

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing that it would probably have to go underground, but i dont think it would be as big of a production as you might think. There is also a bit of room if they managed to wrap the caves around the mountain, or even find a way to make the caves go into the mountain (there is a lot of room in there even though there is a rollercoaster inside).

I thought of one attraction in the Disneyland Resort that is critiqued, like many around it, for its poor entrance. Being in Paradise Pier, the Maliboomer cannot really enjoy an incredibly extravagant entrance while holding true to the Pier's intended theme. So I did something quite simple, considering that factor, and the sensitivity of Boomer to its limited amount of space. I brought out the facade about 18 feet, which still allows for a suitable pathway in front of Boomer, but adds a Victorian-style theme to the attraction's entranceway. The lattice-style half-circle arc above the entranceway is very old-fashioned in the Victorian regard, and blends with the previous lattice overhead entrance seen in the Eastern entrance to Paradise Pier. However, given the desired color scheme of the Boomer section of the Pier, I elected to leave the wood in its natural color. The burnt tones of the two structures to either side of the entrance way echo this subdued tone, and downplay the ground, so the full effect of the attraction's height may be realized.

Maliboomer Entrance, perspective looking SW.

Maliboomer Entrance, elevation @ 250ft looking SW @ -30°.
