The Columbia is Changing for Potc

While i was searching thru DarkBeers latest pics i found pics of the Columbia and now the old girl has Black torn sails and there putting some black stuff on the yellow areas

i think(becuz it looks like black tape covering the columbia) and i hope its only for the premier but ur right its not to shabby...

Oh geez. I hope it also is only for the premiere and not a permanent change. Well we can strike that off the list of attractions changed to become based off a movie as well.

it's just for the premiere. they are having a permenant change that a pirate will climb aboard and take over the ship as it goes around the Rivers of America though. that won't be movie specific though

They did that for the original premiere of POTC in 1967. The press got to ride the Columbia; during the ride, a crew of pirates sacked the ship, and when they docked the boat, the pirates stormed the fort which opened the doors to the premiere. I have it on video that I taped from Vault Disney - pretty cool to see!

It looks horrible. the sails look so fake I hate it but from a distance it looks half dencent, from up close it looks like a peice of poop lol.

better than circus day... which was last Saturday.

I'll be part of the "Press" and I hope they do the same thing for the opening of the ride for us on Saturday!
