Characters - how do you find them?

Hello everyone -

I was wondering, if there's a particular character that you're dying to meet, but they aren't as common as Minnie or Mickey - how can you find out if they are making an appearance? Roger Rabbit, for example. Or any character for that matter - how can you find out where to see them and when?

I wish I had taken more than one character photo. I felt a little embarassed to have wanted to, but hey're truly wonderful. I was very shy and just got nervous and chickened out. (Anyone else have this problem?) I really, really regret it!
Personally, here are my character wherabouts questions -
Roger Rabbit, (Is he around? I remember my sing along songs video tape from disneyland had him running around. I would very, very much like to see him, but is he gone?)

Probably the best way is to ask at City Hall, and they can tell you if they will be around that day.

Roger Rabbit (I'm not sure if he comes around at all) would probably be area specific, like in Toontown.

I'm not sure any of the Muppets have ever been park chartacters.

Ned's right. They have a huge entertainment schedule in City Hall where you can get specific info not only about the characters but about entertainers, too. Ragtime Michael (Main Street piano player) is a favorite of mine and I always check to see if he's scheduled for the day I'm there and when.

I usually don't have a problem with character pictures, but I went to Pirate's Lair this week and Captain Jack Sparrow weirded me out. After waiting for him for a half hour, then standing in line I freaked at the last minute and decided I would be too embarrassed by whatever joke he chose to pull on me so chickened out. Too bad for me.

Well, there always the character greeting areas. They usally have them on the map.
