Change in Operations

I was at Downtown Disney last night at 7:30pm. To my surprise, parking was not bad at all. While on the Mickey and friends tram, we went very slow approaching the entrance plaza stop. We passed an ambulance with a man injured on the ground and disney staff on their radios ect... We then stopped next to another tram and were told to remain seated(Because there were other trams in front of us and no empty loading zones). Two minutes later CM's walked us around parked trams to the DD walkways. Tram service was then fully stopped for at least 20 minutes. A massive flow of guests began walking back to the parking structure. I heard people saying the man had a heart attack, or hit his head. Have you seen an event like this on the resort grounds that caused a change in normal flow of operations? I took pictures for you guys!

Oh, wow! That's crazy.

No doubt it has happened in the past, since Disneyland did had its share with death. I could imagine how horrible of a hold-up it was when people fell off their bobsleds in The Matterhorn Bobsleds and got crushed on The Peoplemover.

i was most likely a simple cause of heat exhaustion or heat stroke

Probably. A lot of people get affected by the heat in southern California.

Yes it most likely was heat related. You never know though.

^Right...it could have been a prior medical issue. Still im sure heat had somthing to do with it.

Disney has so many simulation plans for everything. All the CMs know what to do in most situations, and are prepared. So when someone has a heart attack in the middle of DTD, there is a standard procedure that follows.

Still, there are alot of things a CM cant be prepared for, like a monorail crash....
