Default Celebrate! A Street Party!

So, as everyone knows, the new street party premiered yesterday. Here is a link to some vids:

Celebrate! A Street Party!

I personally love the parade, it is very upbeat and is fits in perfect to Disneyland. Instead of a just having a host/characters talk to everyone, the hosts also SING! I thought that was a pretty neat little thing to add.

Also, the travel loop, the conga section, and the "clean up", are the same as WDW's street show but these are the only music sections that are shared.

The finale is great, I'm a huge Hairspray fan (*hint, hint*).

Way to go Disneyland!

Wow, that actually looks really awesome. I love the upbeat and classy nature of the parade and the way they get even the audience involved.

Unfortunately... I've been hearing hate for this new parade already from some Disney fans... Because it's nothing like how Parade of Dreams was.
All I'm gonna say is: yes, I agree, this is NOT Parade of Dreams, this is a NEW parade. That should be pretty self explanatory.
I hope people who hate it now could accept it over time for what it's not trying to be (PoD), because for what the parade is, it looks like a pretty awesome and fun parade to participate in.

It def. isn't a POD, but for what it is, it's a really fun parade. All the songs they have picked out really get the crowd into and make it really hard for one not to have a good time. Good job Disney.

Well this seems like a lot of fun! Can't wait to see it! The Hairspray bit was fairly entertaining! However, I want to see it at Main Street U.S.A. That seems like the perfect location! Not gonna lie though, I didn't watch it all... I want to be somewhat surprised!

It looks interesting, but it definitely is a condensed parade, and nowhere near as complex as Disney's past productions.

oK, so I hate to be the bearer of negativity for the new parade... oh sorry, street party. But I do have to say after watching it a second time, I have to say I am so very disappointed with this street party. The floats are awful, the costumes are garbage, the music just makes me want to put on headphones and listen to something else, (ESPECIALLY the travel music). I just am not excited with any aspect of the show period. I hate to bust everyone's likeness for the parade, glad you guys see through its bad taste. By what I've seen from literally 90% or more of the guests out there, at least today, they didn't know how to react. They seemed very confused and just like "thats......it?" Idk maybe I'm not seeing what you guys are but you have to be there and not speculate. It's different. The first time I saw it (at a dress rehearsal) it was very okay. But now that I saw the whole guests watching it, it's very bad imo. Seems Disney could have done a better job at something way better than this marketing gimmick of a show. Seen it once, hopefully the next time i see it is when they call me in to work it. Very disappointing show.

I didn't like it.

I think they were trying to replace POD too quickly that they didn't really think of a great idea to replace it with. I think they could have done better.

At least this "parade" is only temporary. They are going to get a real parade soon, don't forget the 55th is next year!

I've heard a lot of negative reactions over at Mice Chat since it's only four floats but I didn't get a chance to see it in person myself so I have no say.

I'm reserving judgment until I'm there with my 18 month old who will probably love the idea of high energy music...but I will admit to some apprehension. Based on the music and floats...it's just missing....Disney.

I think its pretty good from the video i've seen. Its nice to change it up from the standard parade every now and then and get the guests involved in the show. I think this fits perfectly with Disney's "Celebrate" theme! Come on now everyone, don't be hatin'! Lol!
