I am going on my birthday. (Nov 2nd). I just thought I would ask the experts:
1) Is it really worth the money?
2) Is there something I should know/ask for?
3) Any suggestions on what to order?
4) Any other pieces of advice?

Thanks for the info.

The money isn't really that bad for all you get, the food is really good and you can't beat the ambience. If you are going to make any requests, you might want to request a table near the water, that way you get a great view and you're away from the kitchen (those tables near the kitchen get all the noise from the dishes). The Jumbalaya there is really good, and the fish is as well. You might want to bring a camera so you can take pictures, people there are friendly so I'm sure you'll find someone to take your picture for you. Don't forget a to order a Mint Julep!

1) YES!!! Where else can you enjoy moonlit dining in the middle of the day?

2) Ask for a table on the water -- you might wait a few minutes more, but it is totally worth it!!

3) Monte Cristo Sandwich! Yummmmm!

4) go for lunch, not dinner -- the menu prices are cheaper, and the magic of the "moonlit" bayou is more effective when it's daylight outside.

Above all, ENJOY!

I just would re-iterate that that is one of the best sandwiches I've had. If you aren't vegetarian, it's probably one of the best meals they have there.

The sausage stuffed mushrooms are to die for as far as appetizers go and for an entree I would suggest the quarter chicken florentine. You can get a monte cristo anywhere lol

If you want to go for the experience but not spend a lot of money, just go for dessert! We did that last time we went. I've always been too full to enjoy the wonderful desserts when we've had lunch or dinner there so just having dessert was the perfect solution!

I think everyone who goes to Disneyland should dine at Blue Bayou atleast once. I remember going there and it's always a fantastic experience for me and my family.

Blue Bayou's Monte Cristo is so much better than any I've had elsewhere, so it's not like it's just any old sandwiche you can go get at Carrows.

Of course, all their stuff is better than the equivalent elsewhere, so...

1. No
2. I thought the Monte Cristo was gross (a greasy turkey and cheese fried sandwich)
3. Maybe dessert
4. Follow the advice to wait for the water table 'cause otherwise it's just a crowded, dark, overpriced, boring meal.

I have 'never' ate at Blue Bayou before. Because of the table reservations and the full wait to be seated.

If you really want to eat at the Blue Bayou, I think you can call their priority seating and make a reservation a day or two ahead of time. That way you avoid the long lines.

Yeah, Mom and me are going to reserve it earlier.

My next visit to Disneyland is early 2007.
