What I like about Disneyland the most is the atmosphere. Its like no other park in the world! It feels like you can just leave all of your problems behind for a while. Everything is so well themed too, which makes the experience even better.

Of course, there's always my way...

The small, quaint castle. It is very humble and welcoming, whereas Cinderella Castle at WDW is large, and overpowering. I just like to cozy feeling of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

The cast members. Disneyland would not be what it is without them.

The magic you feel upon entering the park.

This is what I feel too. I feel like I've entered a whole new world upon passing through the tunnels.

The details and atmosphere the park and the buildings/show buildings create. It's unlike any other park. It's the only park that will make you believe that magic truly exists and that Disneyland is using it very well to make you forget everything wrong in your life, whether it's the people or the entertainment. Magic truly exists in there.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

How time can freeze as you enter the gates, allowing you to save the galaxy, sail with the happiest cruise that has ever sailed, explore an ancient temple, go on a wild ride with a toad, attend a mad tea party, sack the spanish main with the wackiest crew to ever sail, explore uncharted space, rush through mines, go on a daring journey with a wooden boy, going on a flight with a guy that doesn't want to grow up, witness a mouse's dream, and many other things just in time for the fireworks

I have to agree with Wisher. Definately the cast members. They also seem to do things you wouldn't see ordinary people do. They make the magic happens whether it's on or off stage. They are the ones who keep that magic alive.

DHI said it perfectly. No other place in the world makes me feel the way DL makes me feel. That magic, the happiness, the feeling of forgetting all of your worries and just living in the magic. It's mostly the atmosphere and every tiny little detail that makes it what it is.

I would have to say the atmosphere in all. Just because everything becomes a part of it. The history, the memories, the staff, the music, the detail, the rides, the ambience, the care and love that goes into the park. It is an experience, not something that can be explained. It just simply needs to be experienced the right way to truly know what it's about.

For me, a lot of elements together make it magical. But I think the one thing that would ruin the park for me if it weren't there is the berm. Even as a child, I'd go to KBF and become completely unnerved whenever I'd see the streets outside. The berm allows me to completely step outside of reality and relax for a day. I think it shows a complete understanding of the total guest experience for that berm to have been built.

For me it's the music you hear throughout the park. From the old time music in Adventureland, to the western theme in Frontierland. From the futuristic music in tommorowland to the magical music in Fantasyland that you remember as a kid. And then of course, the different variety of upbeat music that plays so loud through tommorowland and seems to give you a second wind after you start to shut down from a long day at DL.

The spirit of Walt. The fact that there is still some respect for his work there. Things would be different if he was ignored. Thanks in part to fans of Disneyland, his spirit will remain and he will be remembered. I think that makes a big difference in the feeling of Disneyland.
