Default Best change in the last 20 years at DL?

Okay, to balance out the bummer-factor in my other question, I also wonder what everybody thinks is the best addition or change to the park since '88. My pick?

Indiana Jones Adventure. It's simply the best imagineered ride during that period in my opinion. Complete commitment to the idea and the story, no shortcuts or 'cheap route' taken in planning and building it. A real ride ride.

(Although it's not in DL park, DCA's upcoming renovation fits in here as well. Sounds as though what they're going to do will improve it remarkably)

IJA, all the way!!! Thats like one of the best rides!!!

DCA and the DCA changes!!!

Tower of Terror! That sort off goes along with DCA, but I think it deserves a seperate mention!

In Disneyland, I think Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, refurbished Space Mountain, the invisible piano player in The Haunted Mansion's attic, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and Finding Nemo: Submarine Voyage is the few of many great additions in the park.

In Disney's California Adventures, The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror, California Screamin', Soarin' Over California, and Grizzly River Rapids are great additions to this resort.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,
Sesshomaru-sama

Fastpass (although I hated it to begin with because the FP line often bypasses theming)

Single Rider Passes (what's left of that)

Indy Ride

Better parades (especially POD)

Better fireworks (especially RDCT)

More attentive castmembers

The Disneyana Store moving to a bigger space and expanding.

The improvements made to the Mexican Restaurant as well as the mural and fountain nearby.

The Disney website and the availability of park info there. (Remember, no internet in 1988) Not DL's doing, but the fan websites and the availability of information being passed between us and sharing memories and thoughts has really improved my visits to DL! So, thanks VF (and others)!

Fantasmic!.

Evening theme park entertainment was never the same after that.

Gosh my list would be so long... I have to say of everything though, right now it would have to be RDCT! I freaking LOVE that show! I can see it dozens of times and it still makes me get teary eyed. However, I love IJA, Splash, Fantasmic, and especially fastpasses :)

Well, maybe I can't speak for the best, but the things I really like are:

- Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Probably the best ride ever made for the park.
- Fantasmic.
- The restoration of the Lilly Belle car on the DLRR.
- The continual additions and plusses to the Haunted Mansion.
- The concept of Tomorrowland '98. As I've said before and elsewhere, I'm one of the few people who actually liked the idea... I loved the brass and copper look and retro-futurist aesthetic, I loved having an actual NASA exhibit there, I loved that it became nostalgic and self-referential... The whole thing was just undone by being nickled and dimed to a literal death. I'm sure people would be more fine with it if, y'know, the rides worked.
- Restoration of the Enchanted Tiki Room.
- Ongoing changes and plusses to the Jungle Cruise.

I'd say that Fantasmic was a pretty good thing.

I think the expansion into the Disneyland Resort with two parks, three hotels and DTD was a great idea. DCA didn't exactly wow the masses, but the basic idea of expansion was excellent, IMO.

Now if Disney can pull off the DCA make-over.....

It sure would have been easier and cheaper to do it right the first time.

OOOOO getting rid of Cynthia Harriss and Paul Pressler! LOL

I do agree that Fantsamic! Was a great addition to the park's entertainment and I think the refurbishment on Space Mountain was (no pun intended) stellar!

The pirahnas in The Jungle Cruise.

I also liked the idea of Tomorrowland '98. I'm just tired of how it looks now.
