An Autopia Question

If Rocket Rods had worked would Autopia opened in Fantasyland in 2000 since Rocket Rods was the Transit of Tomorrowland?

As far as I know the two were unrelated. It's not like they redid Autopia because the Rods were such a blunder. Autopia was redone because it needed to be & Chevron didn't sign a cheap 10 year sponsorship contract.

I know the failure of Rockets Rods didn't lead to the redo of Autopia, I was asking since Rocket Rods was the transportation for Tomorrowland would Autopia have opened in the same land leading to two transportation attractions.

Most likely seeing as Tomorrowland was a 'world on the move' before several of those moving attractions had to close.
