Honey I Shrunk the Audience is aging and it shows. I would think Innoventions would be the first one to go.

I'm new but i do have valid opinions. From the time I was born till i was about 10, i lived less than an hour from disneyland and have been going there for over 15 years, even though i live in florida now. I still go to disneyland more than disneyworld. I truly grew up there.

As much as i love so much about the park and it is my favorite place in the world, here are my suggestions:

1) honey i shrunk the kids would have been innovative in the 80's, but it is no longer impressive, new, or entertaining. 3D technology is not that amazing and they should replace it with not a show, (deffanitely not the michael jackson ride), but with a ride, meaning not a show.

2) Toon Town shouldn't be deleted, because that would be a waste, but definately improved. I was there this summer and it needs a face lift, maybe a refurbishing paint job on all houses and the roller coaster. They have to do something to gadget's go coaster and roger rabbit because whatever you think of the ride, the lines are still unneccesarily long.

3)I think jungle cruise should be redone, and made for people who were born after 1956, the animatronics are ancient.

4)I think rides like Alice in Wonderland, Ponnochio, Peter Pan, and Snow White should be rennovated, but not closed, there is a list of permanent rides that should never be demolished or replaced.

These in my opinion are not disputable permanent rides for at least the next 20 years (this doesn't include transport rides or shows)

1) Space Mountain
2)Splash Mountain
3) Thunder Mountain
4) Mattehorn (i can't imagine disneyland wihtou it)
5) Pretty much everything in fantasyland (Dark rides, small world, tea cups)
6) Pirates
7) Haunted Mansion
8) Star Tours

There are many other things i love and grew up on but I think it would be better to see them go. At minimum, many old disneyland rides, need paintjobs and newer technology, and refurbished tracks, but other than that, the park is great.

Last thing to think about. One thing that dissappoints me about the park is that the last "major" attraction that opened was close to ten years ago, and that was Indiana Jones. Since then, no major changes have been made to this park. I hope this doesn't signal a slowdown

i'm sorry, cost over 17 million per showing??? I mean let's be conservative here and assume captain EO was shown only 50 times a day at disneyland. That's 850 million per day. That's three hundred ten billion two hundred fifty million dollars per year (310,250,000,000) to operate ONE attraction. I understand ya wanna make a point, but let's not just throw silliness out there.

Um, wasn't Captain EO a 3D movie? Why would it have cost so much to show?

I dont know about replaced in the correct use, but I think the Peoplemover should RE-placed in Tomorrowland. Ya HISTA should be replaced, its a good show, but its a bit out dated.

Take Out Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. It Isn't A Good Attraction (In My Opinion.) They Should Of Kept The Original. HISTA Could Be Replaced With A Tron Themed Attraction, And Redd Rocket's Pizza Port Can Become Rocket To The Moon Once Again, But With New Tecchnology.

Was just there and innoventions is not that awful anymore, I rather liked the new stuff in there, though having video games in there is lame, those things date themselves each holiday season when a new one is introduced...anyway,...I think Autopia is the worst ride in the park hands down, it is not futuristic, it stinks, is slow beyond necessity and many people have to drive to get to the park to begin with, why would anyone want more driving and to have to wait in line for an hour is complete torture! At the very least it needs an update...the Star bores, I mean tours needs to go, bring back the people movers they're silly fun...and the HISTA is just stupid, and long...with where we are in terms of technology it is just stupid that there isn't more of it in this area of the park, there is no WOW factor in Tomorrowland at all....

I can't remember if I already wrote a comment in this thread, but I used to love HISTA and didn't want it replaced. However, on my last visit I noticed that I am just sort of forcing myself through the show to enjoy the surprise of the mice and a couple of other parts. I am now getting bored with most of it. I agree that it is too long. The first couple of times I saw it, it didn't seem that long! One sign that it needs to be replaced is the theater is not being filled, or even half filled, on crowded summer days. If you can't fill an air conditioned theater on a hot summer day, something is wrong! Something more innovative than just a 3D theater needs to go into that space. It's been used for that for too long. A ride would be great.

And Star Trader - I don't know if anyone mentioned that, I will have to go back and read the posts. I used to love that old arcade in the early 80's and I can understand why it closed. But it is just sad and so un-Walt-like to leave that space empty with nothing covering up the windows. You're standing in line for Space Mt. and look over and see what looks like an empty storefront storing some sort of cleaning or construction equipment. That is totally unnecessary. It certainly doesn't look like the city of Tomorrow. It looks like the remains of the city of yesterday!

There was a rumor that HISTA was going to Yesterland, but evidently it is not the case. The Steve Martin Show with Donald Duck is another attraction that needs to be replaced. Although it is a good film, it is clearly outdated.

2) Replace Honey I Shrunk the Audience (It's a good show, but it's definitely showing age) with a new 3-d film.

3) Take out the 50th anniversary special of Steve Martin and Donald Duck with Great Moments with Mr Lincoln
That is a great list. To it, let's add:

4) Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters
and
5) Toy Story Midway Mania

These two go together, because they are just first-person shooters that took no creativity whatsoever to make.

6) Innoventions (for obvious reasons.... BOOOOORING)

7) Destiny Hope Cyrus' face and voice (eek!)

Oh, and I forgot...

8) Toon Town (That's valuable real-estate! I'd rather have an AWESOME, fully-themed Hotel there, complete with indoor rides, characters, etc... talk about conveniently close to the park! lol)

I would like to see the Gadget's Go Coaster be updated to accomadate more people, and so there is more spae in the cars for larger or taller people. Maybe for the line of the ride to be remade, and to make the ride longer than like 2 seconds. It's not funwaiting an hour for a 2 second ride. Just my opinion.

1) Sleeping Beauty's Castle
2) The Matterhorn
3) The Disneyland Railroad
4) The Mark Twain

Ok, ok, ok, I'm just kidding.....

I think it's interesting that two previous posts mentioned taking out Nemo and TSMM, the two new kids on the block. Disney spent a combined $220,000,000 on those two attractions, so I don't think they will be coming down anytime soon.

HISTA can go. Seems like that space could be put to a lot better use.

We could lose BLAB and I wouldn't mind a bit. I really liked the Circa-Rama movies and would love to see that come back there.

If they removed or relocated Pooh and put back the CBJ, I would dance in the streets til dawn! I even like the Pooh ride, but, for me, it's such a step down from the classic CBJ.

I wish they would take out the Fantasyland Theater and put new dark ride there. Again, that space seems like it could be put to better use.

Toontown is ok, but couldn't they take out a lot of that stuff and put at least 2 or 3 more rides in there?

I wish Disney would take down the Observatron and put the Astro Orbiters back up there where they belong.

I really would like to see Big Thunder Ranch gone too. It looks ok, but that area used to be the Living Desert on the old Mine Train ride. Now it's a petting zoo? Again, that space needs to be put to better use.

The bottom line for me is that, even if they didn't touch a thing, Disneyland would still be awesome. However, there is always room for improvement, maybe just not room in the budget.

Fantasyland Theater was good when it was used for shows. The Princess Faire may be a good idea, but needs a different location so that the theater can once again be used to do some good shows. I saw a Dick Tracy show there that was good and I loved the Beauty and The Beast show. I guess Disney only wants to do stage productions when they can make money off of them?

I would love Big Thunder Ranch to stay awhile and for the BBQ to come back, because I have never been. I think the area, though, could use an actual Indian Village with an art and education center and dancers.

I'm in agreement with elisokool16 on this one. If not replaced, definitely a refurbishment on all of those rides and attractions! I remember a time, not so long ago, when everything in the park seemed to have a fresh coat of paint; not one crack or speck anywhere you looked. That's definitely not the case anymore.

Oh, and I think something needs to be done about Indiana Jones Adventure; it breaks down too much.

- Bring back the Peoplemover and take out Innoventions so I can see the original Carousel of Progress. I've never been to WDW so I've never been to that one.

- Maybe update Star Tours since I am getting bored with it.

- I'm not against it that much but take out the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and put in Adventure Thru Inner Space since Star Tours replaced it. I just want to see old rides because I was never around for them.
