Default Attraction Characters

I know that the advanced figures like in POTC are called Audio-Animatronics. But what are the ones, like in SNSA, that have limited movement called?

By SNSA do you mean Snow White's Scary Adventures? If so, those are AAs in there, despite their lack of moving parts.

Well they do move, just as a whole. They'll jump up & down or come out at you or some other movement like that. I do not believe that because their lips don't move or something like that DQ's them from being AAs.

Got this from Answers.com
Audio-Animatronics
Audio-Animatronics or just animatronics is a form of robotics created by Walt Disney Imagineering for several shows and attractions at Disney theme parks, and subsequently expanded on and used by other companies. The robots move and make noise, generally speech or song. An animatronic robot is different from an android in that an animatronic works off prerecorded moves and sounds, rather than processing external stimuli and responding to them.

Not exactly. By definition, something that is Animatronic moves. The "Anima" part of the word means "life" which implies movement on the mechanical figure's part. However, I think that the figures in the dark rides are still AAs because they DO move, even if it is the whole figure moving back and forth.
Hope that helps...

Oh my gosh! Yes, SNSA is Snow White's Scary Adventures...but then it should be SWSA. I guess that just goes to show I shouldn't use ride acronyms.
