Default Animated Characters

Does anybody know if Disneyland will get the costumed characters such as Mickey that have moveable mouths and eyes? They have recently appeared in the Dream Along with Mickey show at the Magic Kingdom, I read somewhere the technology isn't new but new for theme parks. It would great to see Minnie singing along during the show stop in the Parade of Dreams or Mickey's mouth actually moving when he says "Some Imagination, huh?" during Fantasmic.

I don't know if they plan to bring these characters to DL, but I agree that they should. I remember reading somewhere that they have these characters in one of the parks overseas - TDL, maybe? I think they should be able to get the animated characters and voice changers so characters can finally talk to all the little kids who flock to them.

As a character at Magic Mountain, i know for a fact that those costumes would be problems. People sticking their fingers in eyes and mouths, plus the rowdy kids. It rarely happens at Disneyland, but those things would be heavy and expensive, and if a character is attacked it would be expensive machinery to fix and the cast member could be hurt. As for the voice changers, they exist. DCA's Roz in Monster's Inc. used to work at Magic Mounatin and was a friend of my boss. He uses a voice changer to say all of the different phrases he says to the guests.

Well, that makes sense. However, it will be cool for shows where people wouldn't be able to touch them. That way it's less chance for them to be bothered like that.

That would be awesome in Fantasmic! Like when he says, "You may think you're so powerful, well, this is my dream!" And his mouth be moving.
