Default 2 hours in the park - 9/14/08

Hi everyone.
This morning I decided to take advantage of our Early Entry opportunity. Of course I didn't look at the time Disneyland opened, and assumed it was 8, meaning Early Entry was 7. I got to the security tent about 7:10, and there was no one there, hmmm. Well I quickly realized that they didn't open until 9! But wait...there's no one here, so I got some people less pictures.

So after hanging out for a while, a line finally started forming. I got to see the "selected family" open the park, and we were off. I chose the left tunnel, and began heading down Main Street, when fresh brewed coffee caught my attention. So I made a detour, grabbed a Mocha and a Sticky Bun. I sat down in the Gibson Girl and ate.

Ok, full belly, let's take some more pictures.
Here's a quick picture of the Tomorrowland entrance.

For the next few I had to wait around for a good bit of time. 2 members of security kept a good eye on me though.

After spending all the time here, it was close to 9, but I deiced to walk around Fantasyland, and then back to the hub. Now, you've all seen the back side of water, but today I saw the back side of......

.....the rope drop!

I headed over to the Rivers of America but only found 1 shot I liked.

So does anyone know what side the Mark Twain has to pull up to the pump on?

Got a few pics of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

I was running out of time about now and had to head back to the family so we could drive up to Burbank and catch our, once again delayed, flight!
But here are some flower pictures I took while waiting for the castle pictures.

While getting ready to post these, I was playing with the tools that Google Picasa offers....and came up with this cool picture.

Anyway, there are more pictures in the album, feel free to take a peak.

Hope you've enjoyed these pictures, I had a fun time taking them.
Ben

Wow, that looks incredible. I would love to take a chance to go to the park way before it opens and do that. Your photographs are very beautiful and they're outstanding! I love the ones with the pink roses and seeing the water/dew droplets there. That was a perfect photograph there.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing those pictures. I once got some pics of my favorite attraction Haunted Mansion with no one in front, early in the a.m.

Early morning in the Disneyland is great, everything is all clean and it's all quiet, all before the busy day begins!

Wonderful pictures. I love the roses. I bet it felt so freeing not to have to worry about people in your way! Great shot of the people waiting at the rope drop.

Haha...I'm not sure what I was thinking. I didn't go back to the park after the awards, so I felt that I needed just a few more hours.
