I'm new and excited to be a part of this great board. I love Disneyland (the other Disney parks are great, but I could actually live at Land). I live in the greater Chicagoland area, so I only get to Land about once a year if I'm lucky. I love Indy and Blue Bayou and the ghosties and Alice and can't WAIT for all the attraction additions and new Sub ride!!!

The second week of April it took a Spring Break and three friends to drag me to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Three park-hopping days later I was a born again Disnian. The magic, the happiness, the joy captured me and made me start to see life differently. This Spring Break helped me re-live the Disney and magic of my younger youth. Being a twenty something year-old college student I had forgotten what life was all about: DREAMS. So by the last day, I hadn't missed one Parade of Dreams, one "Remember...Dreams Come True" fireworks display, I had also taken in each "Fantasmic" show as well. Life is better because I have accepted Disney as pure magic. The Tiki Room (which I had never seen until my April trip) allowed me to see what type of personality Walt Disney had for his very first audio-animatronic creation. Disneyland is a place of dreams, happiness and joy. I have come to live everyday a little bit more happier because I know it's one day closer until the next time I get to go to Disneyland. I am honored to have found this site, and am glad to share the captivation and magic of Disney with all of you! |

Hi everyone! I've been visiting this site for a while, and finally decided to sign up. DaddyB takes the most beautiful DLR photos I have ever seen - that's what piqued my intrest in VF in the first place. I'll be visiting DLR in August or September - maybe I'll runinto some of you there!

Greetings Everyone,
34 year old SoCal native here. I've seen the ups and the downs. The Hi Highs and Lo Lows of the Magic Kingdom. As my son quickly approaches 2 years of age I find myself missing the true magic that was Disneyland. I'm proud to say that you all here are working hard to keep the spirit alive. I hope that someday we'll have a place where rockets can fly high and carousel theaters rotate in a handclappin, footstompin, America singin good time. There once was a time when seasonal trips were a norm, without annual passes. But gone are the days unless I do well on "Deal or No Deal." In a trip last fall. My wife and I simply went to "The Resort" to experience new things. In a whole day we went on 3 rides. Stopped in a City Hall and talked to the staff. Listened to the Fire House presentation. Unfortunately this day I also had to overhear a visitor from another state and her expression of disappointment to her children about her Monorail ride. "Lady!! It's the Monorail!!" So forgive my jadedness. I still find myself dreaming of trips to the Kingdom. I hope to get back before my son turns 3. Maybe VF can be a place where we come together and not just remenisce but plan for the future and let the Execs know what we want. Cheers. JP |
