Hello!

My name is Tim. I'm a comedian who is lucky enough to live less than an hour from the Happiest Place on Earth.

I'm lucky enough to get to go to Disneyland fairly often and when I do, I usually pack my video camera, so you can usually count on some silly Disneyland videos from me.

I also run a podcast with my two old roommates..but I fear the language might be a bit "salty" for the average Disney fan (certainly not appropriate for kids under 18)..so I don't think I'll post a link here.

So I'm looking forward to swapping stories and rumors and opinions with all of y'all! See ya 'round the boards :)

Hi. I'm a 43-old math prof, currently at the University of Oklahoma, but moving in December to Northern Kentucky University, just outside Cincinnati. I've been a Disney fan all my life. My mother's favorite movie is Lady and the Tramp, which we watch every year at Xmas. My first Disney vacation was to WDW in 2001 (a honeymoon after 7 years of marriage -- we got divorced 3 years ago but we're still friends). I have been to WDW and DL repeatedly since then, but not often enough!

This is my first posting to a discussion board (besides the ones I use in my classes). I hope I did this posting correctly.

Thank you for making this tool available for Disney fans to connect world-wide!

Thanks! That's a picture from my first trip to WDW (2001). It was May and so the garden stuff was still there. Topiaries everywhere! I actually bought a small Mickey topiary there. I killed the vine (Oklahoma gets brutally hot!), but I still have the frame. I have intentions of growing a new vine but haven't gotten around to it. Meanwhile, though ... two years ago, I found online a set of large wire frames for topiaries and I bought the Pluto one. I read some books on gardening in Oklahoma and on good plants to use for topiaries. I found a bush that is recommended for both and it's leaves are green and yellow, which seemed too perfect! I think the frame will be filled out in another year or two -- assuming I don't kill the bushes when I move to Cincinnati. I have consulted a friend who is trained in landscape architecture and we think we have a plan for moving the whole thing. Fingers crossed!

I guess I strayed way off the intro topic! :-)

Anyway, thanks for the welcome message. I'm nervous and excited and trying to figure out where I fit into this community. I really do appreciate having a space like this!!

i'm alice and i'm from socal, not too far from DL, but i don't go often, at least once a year and i've always had an infatuation with the park and the history behind it. one day hopefully, i can go to WDW and disneyland paris.
