VF Social Groups - Introduction and Guidelines

Visions Fantastic has a new feature, Social Groups. Using this, any VF member can create their own special Group, where others can be invited to participate in a more focussed discussion, sharing photos, etc.

Groups can be accessed by clicking Groups in the top Navbar. Browse existing groups or Create a new one.

Members are limited to creating ONE group at a time.

Additional Guidelines:

1. Groups must not be created for political, religious or self-promotion. For instance, creating a group to promote yourself or your website, blog, etc, are not allowed. Religious and political discussions are carefully moderated on VF, and because Social Groups do not fall under the normal patrol of the Mod staff, we discourage the discussion of certain topics which have proven to be problematic. If you allow these kinds of discussions on your Group and they get out of hand, your group may be closed.

2. VF reserves the right to censor, edit or delete your group as we see fit. Groups are a free service and may be revoked at any time.

3. Group abuse or spamming isn't allowed. Advertising your groups falls under the same categories as commercial spam and your account may be banned and your group deleted. You are allowed to post a link to your Group anywhere in your public profile (including signature), but threads, shouts (in the shoutbox) or posts promoting your group (I.E. "come join!") are not allowed. You may invite others to join your group, but once they have declined we ask that you not attempt to invite them again or contact them thru private means.

4. Groups must adhere to all VF guidelines: No copyrighted materials, no profanity, hate-speech, etc. Any illegal activities taking place within groups may result in your account being banned and the activity may be reported to law enforcement.

5. "Recruitment" within groups isn't allowed. Going into somebody else's group and recruiting members to add to your own group is against our Group guidelines. Example message/post: "Hey, this group is dead, come join MY group!" - etc.
