Default Susan Boyle visits Disneyland

Susan Boyle visits Disneyland

SuBo meet Dumbo
Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle escapes to Disneyland after being mobbed by fans in Los Angeles

London Daily Mail
Susan Boyle seems to be lapping up her new-found fame and spent her first hours in the United States being given A-list treatment. The Britain's Got Talent star was whisked to Disneyland in Anaheim, California by burly minders and assistants and brought friends along for the ride.

The 48-year-old singer is in the U.S. ahead of her performance on the final of America's Got Talent, and was mobbed at the airport by adoring fans, press and paparazzi.

But during her first few hours on foreign soil, the Scottish spinster roamed Disneyland with her friends and took to the skies on the Dumbo ride. And she was beaming after a boat ride through the It's A Small World attraction. It is the first time the Scot has been out of Europe and she looked as if she was struggling in the brutal Californian sun.

On Wednesday's final show of America's Got Talent, Susan will perform the Rolling Stones song Wild Horses – the first single off her forthcoming album – as well as the Les Miserables’ classic which catapulted her to fame, I Dreamed A Dream

Mmmmkay... Susan Boyle makes Disney news...

I'm honestly tired of hearing about her. I think her "fame" is completely unnecessary, because she got it all for the wrong reasons.

Cool Odd footnote...

Odd footnote... Robin Williams says he's been offered the role of Susan Boyle for an upcoming movie. You never know if this guy is joking... Anyway, here's the piece at The New York Post (you never know if they're kidding either):

Robin Williams as Susan Boyle?

I'm curious as to what the "wrong reasons" are. She's a talented singer and deserves the fame regardless of her mental state.

I correct myself: I am not annoyed by Susan Boyle, I'm annoyed by the people who gave her as much attention as she got.
She is definitely a talented singer, I can't argue that - but so are so many other people who go on these shows and get far less attention than she did. I've seen her face plastered on the news headlines the entire month she made it big. It was all about how she looked and how people were shocked by her voice. If people hadn't looked so down on her because of her looks, then no one would have cared as much as they did. She would have just been passed as every other talented artist who makes it on these talent shows.
I'm not going to go any further into this, because I know it's quite personal to her, but I just feel that the way she got attention was not at all necessary.

It was because it was so unexpected: nobody expected a woman who looks like that to have a voice like that. I for one, am really happy for her. It is great that she got to go to Disneyland and enjoyed it so much.
