I met the man a couple of times... Frank Thomas too. They were such neat old guys. They'd be finishing each other's sentences one minute, and then do like a Penn & Teller the next where Frank would just sit there quietly and nod and look at you knowingly while Ollie would just go on talking...

Their book "The Illusion Of Life" (which they signed for me once) is one of my most treasured earthly possesions. Now it's even more so.

Don't be surprised to notice the clouds in the sky look a little more like dogs, cats, mice, ducks and deer from now on (and maybe even a little skunk named "flower"). Frank and Ollie are IN THE HOUSE!

Love it!

Also, I don't think I'll ever be able to ride a train at DL without getting a little emotional....

Well can't you just hear ol' Walt saying

"we're all here? Okay, let's get to work!"

Yeah, that's probably true!

But it is so sad. I can't believe it. I had always hoped to meet him someday.

You're right!! And they were really busy this evening, as windy and cloudy here in Texas as it was. I just went outside for about a half hour, just spinning an old pole like a staff and staring at the clouds. There were ten recognizable characters, three flowers, four mice, and a pair of dogs fighting. It was incredible.

He will be missed. The last of the Nine Old Men. It is very sad, pretty soon everyone that was alive when Walt Disney was around will be gone.

He was an amazing man, and he, along with all the rest, will be remembered.

Well, I certainly hope this isn't a sign of worse things yet to come.

Well, they did train artists like Brad Bird, Andreas Deja, Ron Clemans, and John Musker so, hopefully this is not a sign of worse things to come.

Well, I was referring to how things are at Disney nowadays in general, not necessarily to the people there.
