Disney Cruise Ship Passageway Collapses

Severe weather in Port Canaveral caused the main gangway for guests and crew members to get to the Disney Wonder Cruise ship to collapse into the water.

Several guests were on board the ship when the passageway collapsed, but no injuries were reported. The ship had to be moved to a cargo pier to load the remainder of the guests. The cruise ship was an hour late pulling out of port Sunday.

I've been on the Wonder. The main gangway is huge. If the whole thing fell, that must have been horrific. If some passengers were already on board, it's a miracle that no one was on it when it fell. I shudder to think what could have happened. If I remember correctly the gangway leads to deck 4 (or 3?). Anyways, it's a long way down to the water from there.
