Alice Comedies' Virginia Davis dies

Disney’s first actress dies at age 90

Virginia Davis, best known as Disney’s first actress, passed away Friday night at age 90. Davis starred in Walt Disney’s short film series, The Alice Comedies. During her career as Alice, Davis was able to star in 13 titles in the series, each five to 10 minutes long and featuring simple plots.

Awww that is sad. She lived a great life it seems and she will always be remembered. May she rest in peace.

Wow this is really sad. She was just a little girl when she made the Alice Comedies, yet she lived a long time afterwards. She did a little acting after the Alice Comedies, but not much, and it was all uncredited. She had a very limited career as an adult and quit acting in her late 20's. She made a huge contribution to Walt Disney's early career. Rest in peace, Virginia.

Another Disney great moves on... she really got to see the Disney Company grow over the century and was able to lend a hand in it at the very beginning. Cheers to a wonderful life and peace be with you.

It's so sad. She basically saw Disney rise and fall, rise and fall, and rise and fall.

What an icon in terms of Walt's career, seems as though many people that worked with Walt have lived such long and rich lives, it was simply her time....Rest In Peace.
