Oooo I liked the trailer! Of course, it probably had no reflection on the actual movie itself, but still looks like fun.

I wonder how the plot will work out? another risk for Pixar...
the teaser was great too! and I noticed they were handling Legos, so does that mean one of the toys to promote the film will be in the film?

The movie will be directed by Lee Unkrich who has been with Pixar for years as both an editor and co-director.

The script is being done by Michael Arndt who wrote Little Miss Sunshine. Toy Story 3 will be only his second script, but Little Miss Sunshine won him an Oscar and numerous other awards. Seems like this guy can write.

Doesn't that make this the first Pixar film not to be directed by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Doctor or Brad Bird? This movie will be a test to see if Pixar can maintain their winning streak with the next generation creative team.

^ oh yeah that's true! I'm sure they can pull this off. Pixar can do anything. It's like every time you think an animation company will catch up to them with one good movie , BOOM! Pixar makes a movie that's "Infinity and Beyond" times better

oh I wasn't talking about the Michael Ardnt part, I meant the thing about the first Pixar film to be helmed by Lee Unkrich...

and if Little Miss Sunshine earned all these awards, then I believe TS3 will do well. also, this isn't the only childrens movie to be directed by someone who has done scripts from the PG13 - R range that's coming out next year (Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time - Jason Segel)

Yes Little Miss Sunshine was R. But that is only because the f-bomb is dropped a lot and you pretty much watch someone snort some coke. Other than that, it could have easily been PG 13...wouldn't have been as good though. But all that stuff was needed because it fit the tone of the movie which is why I believe he won all those awards. He set tone and made you feel for these people. I mean one character doesn't talk for 3/4ths of the movie but you still feel his pain and understand him. That is good writting right there. I have no doubt in my mind that the script will be fantastic.

^that's exactly what i told them! but one of them doesn't care much because she hasn't seen the first two in forever, but the rest of them seem to have "moved on." and yes, there are people who criticize us calling us (I don't know if it's a bad word on the boards) r******, but they are the r****** because they're not the ones who are excited =)
