Andrew Stanton is a great director, I have faith in him that he'll make this one a good one.

Has anyone seen the new trailer? It starts to explain the plot but then just shows clips. A human was visible for a second or two.

I've seen it several times. Can. Not. Wait.
What I keep wondering is: why doesn't Pixar get into IMAX? Their films are so much more visually profound than anyone else's out there. Unfortunately, the one animated film porting to IMAX is Kung Fu Panda...

I saw the trailer and will take a pass on Wall*E...
"Oh look! The slapstick robot is funny because he's just like us! Hey, check out that hip pop-culture reference over there! Get it, the joke is funnier because they always put in that half-second pause before delivering the punchline! Haw!" Toy Story... Bug Story... Monster Story... Fish Story... Car Story... Robot Story... |

If you take a look at the two main competitors, Dreamworks pulls the 'hip pop-culture reference' gag about every 5 minutes. I'm struggling to find where Wall-E does this, even in the trailer.

Were you referring to my comment? I wasn't sure...
I'm honestly curious about where the reference was, because either I'm not up on pop culture or it's too obscure for me to figure out. I was just wondering...

Honestly, Cory's reasons are his/her own. If they choose not to see it, that's their choice. I was just wondering where the pop culture reference was, and how prominent it seemed to be in most/all Pixar films.

No worries, I was using my incredible "Spider Sense" to feel out incoming confrontations.

I'm going to see it no matter what the review is. "Cars" didn't do all that great in our paper, but it is my favorite Pixar movie. I don't really trust those guys, they look for things I don't really care about.
