What is Wall-E? I briefly read about it and have seen the picture?

Could someone please let me know what this movie is about?

WALL-E is the story about the last little robot on Earth. He is a robot that his programming was to help clean up. You see, it's set way in the future. Through consumerism, rampant, unchecked consumerism, the Earth was covered with trash. And to clean up, everyone had to leave Earth and set in place millions of these little robots that went around to clean up the trash and make Earth habitable again.

Well, the cleanup program failed with the exception of this one little robot and he's left on Earth doing his duty all alone. But it's not a story about science fiction. It's a love story, because, you see, WALL-E falls in love with [Eve], a robot from a probe that comes down to check on Earth, and she's left there to check on and see how things are going and he absolutely falls in love with her.

Something weird; I began with low expectations, but then saw the preview and my expectations were raised. Now they're low again. I'm beginning to guess Wikipedia isn't that reliable, but it says there will be some live-action (although not like Happy Feet ) and there will be only one speaking character.

Word has it, WALL•E will be the first Pixar film to date to feature live-action of some sort.

All based off of memory of what I read quite a while back (So if I'm wrong, correct me), WALL•E has a collection of artifacts and one of his hobbies is to collect these things as he digs through trash in all his years of existence. One item in his collection is a VCR, some tapes, and a television, and he oftenly watches the videos from Earth's past and learns what humans were like. I believe those are the parts (So I heard) that feature actual live-action segments of histories past when WALL•E is watching events on the television screen.

Also, the lack of voice acting- I wouldn't get low-expectations over that. It still can be an awsome film; and as Pixar themselves say that this will be the most different film thus far, and may just be the best if the critics understand the direction this film will be going like they do.

I was just wondering has the idea of Wall E, been around and floating around for a long time. I could have sworned that I have seen a preview or something that had to do with Wall E, a couple years ago or so.

The idea of this movie was thought up around the time when A Bug's Life, Montsters Inc. and Finding Nemo were thought up. But I believe this idea was kept undercover all these years until last year.

I understand the Live Action part. Pixar makes very cartoony people. Buy-N-Large is a fictional company, and the pictures on the site are all of real people. Maybe it will start out with the company making the robot, and then it goes to CGI. Pixar does have very realistic looking actions. As for the talking, why would a garbage robot need to talk? If Pixar can make a great movie without much talking, another one of their skill's other CGI companies don't have.

Thanks. My hopes are a bit up again. And that is a good idea about live action on the television. Times like that are the comical kind.

Weird. I think I might be having signs of Deja Vu. I don't know, but I am so sure that I saw that picture of Wall E before. But maybe not? I am not sure, or am I? lol.
