Most of the films made from disney were musicals. I wonder why Disney no longer makes movies like that anymore. Could it be that Disney ran outta ideas for musicals years ago?

I sure miss the musical spice up that goes well with any movie. :'(

I've wondered that for a long time. The way the kids respond to the movies with music is awesome. I wish they would go back to that!

This is the reason why I'm so excited for Princess and the Frog. It's going to be fabulous, and I hope that many more movies like it will follow.

Well... Disney musicals kind of had a falling out after "Mulan". They seemed to favor more of those "background" music-style movies after "Tarzan"... kind of took after how Pixar did their films. Don't know why did that. Honestly, the last time they departed from musicals, they went into a slump; the exact same situation happened this time!

"Enchanted" was supposed to be the test run for audience response to Disney musicals, and it won out, and with "The Princess and the Frog", I guess they're trying to go back to that. Like Mad About Mickey said, I'm glad they're returning to that formula, and I hope they keep it up!

Go musicals!! Plus i know this is kinda looking from a business persective, but if disney can pull off a new musical and achieve great success, Disney can infact launch new musicals on Broadway and across the world. I'm fine with that! hehe

I'm really looking forward to The Princess and the Frog because it's going to be like a classic Disney musical cartoon movie. As mentioned before me, I hope these kind of movies will continue.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

Well, Enchanted was kind of like a musical and I know a lot of people fell in love with that movie (me included). Here's to hoping they bring them back and keep them around.
