For me, it's the scene in The Little Mermaid, right after Ariel and Eric are married and King Triton rises up to the side of the ship and he and Ariel say goodbye. My parents had just moved half a world away when the movie came out and I'm a Daddy's Girl, so to this day every time I hear her say "Goodbye Daddy" it totally makes me cry.

(just like I am now just thinking about it.... gah! I'm pathetic...)

Oh, heavens, I'm pretty sure there's one or two moments in every Disney movie that can cause me to tear up. But I think these are the most prominent ones.

1. "Beauty and the Beast": The dialogue between Belle and the Beast leading up to the Beast's death and resurrection. The voice acting there is phenomenal.

2. "Finding Nemo": When Marlin finds Nemo knocked-out after the escape from the net and he remembers holding Nemo as a baby and saying "It's all right, Daddy's here. Daddy's got you." The last half of the net escape sequence always makes me tear up too. And the opening titles as well... they're just so melancholy after the opening scene.

3. "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh": The closing narration. "Wherever they go, and whatever happens to them along the way, deep in that enchanted forest a little bear will always be waiting."

4. "Mulan": When Mulan says that she sees nothing when she looks at her reflection. And when the Emperor and the crowd bow to her at the palace.

5. "The Lion King": When young Simba places himself under Mufasa's paw following the stampede.

6. "The Hunchback of Notre Dame": Pretty much the whole movie...

7. "Pocahontas": When Pocahontas is running to the cliff edge to wave goodbye to John Smith.

8. "The Fox And the Hound": Need I say more?

As far as the films go, that's all I can think of.

I think The Fox and the Hound was the first movie that actually mademe cry. Me and my little brother both watched it together for the first time when we were really little, and my parents had to turn it off because we both couldn't stop crying when she let Tod go. I've seen the whole movie like 5 times, but I've forced myself to not watch that movie for about 10 years. I don't think I'll ever want to watch it again.

Just like everyone else out there, there are a few moments within Disney films that make me tear up here are the ones I can think of--off the top of my head:

1. Fox and the Hound: When Tod is being taken to be left behind.
2. The Little Mermaid: When Ariel says "Goodbye Daddy"
3. The Lion King: The near end of the film when Simba roars to the pride and they all roar in return.
4. Toy Story 2: When Jessie is remembering her owner.
5. Homeward Bound: When all the animals return and Shadow is nowhere to be found, than comes limping behind.

Those are just the few I can think of right now.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dumbo yet. Now that I am a mom, it is even more emotional for me to watch.

Bambi always got me as a kid as well. I haven't seen Bambi in a long time, but I'm sure I would still get choked up watching it now.

I was just about to mention Dumbo. Especially the scene when she is locked up and he comes to see her and is rocked by her in her trunk through the bars but then has to leave. Very brutal and emotional. Disney played very well on the human emotions in this movie proving that expressions and actions can make you feel just as much emotion as talking or singing. I mean, to have a main character never speak one word in a movie but can make the audience experience and feel a full range of emotions is just impressive.

Man, there are way too many for me to think of. I end up getting emotional at movies and heck, even reading these is making me a bit teary. Let me try and think of the ones that get to me.

- POTC: At World's End: When Elizabeth realizes her father's dead and tries to get him into the ship with her.
- Peter Pan: When Peter's trying to find Tinker Bell after the bomb explosion and tells her to hold on. Also, the song Wendy sings to the Lost Boys is always a sad one to me.
- Wall-E: How about everything from when EVE doesn't give Wall-E the love he's looking for until the part where EVE tries to save Wall-E's personality when it got erased.
- Lady & the Tramp: The scene where Lady's in the pound to where Trusty gets hit by the dogcatcher's truck.
- Robin Hood: The scene where Alan-a-Dale sings Not in Nottingham while half the town is locked up in the prison.
- The Little Mermaid: Where Ariel bids goodbye to her father before leaving with Eric on the ship.
- Beauty and the Beast: The ending with the Beast dying then resurrecting.
- Pocahontas: When Thomas shot Kocoum, where Pocahontas talks with John in the tent and where she runs to the edge of the cliff to watch his ship sail away.
- Mulan: When she sings Reflection and after the fight with her father at dinner.

That's about all I can think of right now but I'm sure there are plenty more around.

There are many Disney movie moments that get to me. Most of all though - and someone mentioned it earlier - is the part in Fantasmic! where Mickey says "Some Imagination, huh?". It gives me tingles every time I hear it. The whole show does that to me actually. From the opening crescendo with the lights spinning around...to the grand finale with Steamboat Willie driving the Mark Twain. I am amazed every time I watch it...and it chokes me up every time. I think it is because instead of watching it on a big screen or on a TV at home - I am there, experiencing the magic, first hand. The glow from the fire lights your face and you can see the sprays from the water screen. The most amazing, moving show ever. Everyone needs a little imagination.

Well it's not exactly a Disney movie but I still hope it counts.

So I was visiting Disneyland for the first time in my life in 2006 and my family and I were getting a seat so we could watch Fantasmic! I was so excited because i'd never been to Disneyland and seen an actual Disneyland show. When the show started, I was completly silent, mesmorized in the show so much it seemed like no one else was around.

Finally the finale came. It started up and I started getting goosebumps all over. The music was just so moving and thrilling my heartbeat quickened its pace. Finally, when the fireworks went off and Mickey appeared in the middle of the finale music, I was so happy I cheered loudly! After the show, I was so upset it was over because it had been a very good show. I wanted to see it again and again, but unfortunately I couldn't because that was our last night at Disneyland.

To this day, that's been the only time i've seen Fantasmic! live. I wish I could see it again, but that's not going to happen. I do wish for it to happen though. To this day, watching the Fantasmic! show on YouTube and seeing the finale gives me goosebumps. It gets me everytime! :)

every classic disney movie has its moments, but the ones that get me:
1.Jiminy Cricket singing when you wish upon a star
2.Peter Pan (whole thing)
3.WALL-E when his personality is gone at the end
4.The Hunchback of Notre Dame when the little girl hugs him

Hmmm...

The final climax of both Fantasmic! and RDCT both give me goosebumps. They are very moving and very exciting.

In terms of movies, Wall-E had it's moments. It was pretty heart wrenching to see Wall-E crushed for the sake of EVE and the plant, even more depressing watching EVE see Wall-E get crushed when there is nothing she can do to stop it, but even worse then his nearly deathlike state was how hard EVE worked to bring him back only to have his entire memory wiped clean. That really got to me for some reason. That movie would have been way too depressing if Wall-E never came back.

Something that made me tear up was the last scene of "Return to Neverland" when Peter goes back and finds that Wendy has grown up. That whole concept, in any version of the story, makes me want to cry.

"When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2. That song is so sad.

"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" is one of my favorite animated films. So very moving.

One of the scenes that has made it difficult for me to hold back tears was when Stitch was about to die inside the maching Jumba and Pleakly build. It's really sad when the machine determined that Stitch is dead. It makes me want to cry every time I see that scene.

The scene that made me really sad was when EVE notices that WALL-E isn't being himself. She shows him everything that he showed her in the beginning of the movie, only to have no reaction. That was really sad to me.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

I also second Dumbo, it was my favorite when i was a kid an when watching it now it was pretty sad. At the start when the stalks are giving all the animals their babies and the mother Elephant misses out. Looked so sad.
