Thanks, I didn't recognize the music/titile. It is so beautiful.

Oh so true about workaholic dads. It is a touching scene. Oh and sorry, didn't see this more appropriate forum.

My favorite is the Penguin scene in "Mary Poppins". I literally will stop whatever I'm doing, anywhere I am, to watch it.
That's the song! Love the song too! It all works so well with the animation.

Oh that's cute about the penguins. A real feat for its time too!

We saw that in music appreciation today! I really love all the pieces in Fantasia 2000, but more specifically, the Pomp and Circumstance one, the Tin Soldier, Carnival of the Animals (I felt kinda force-choked on the intro to that one), and Rhapsody in Blue

cool! I'd like to see it again and the original. I love Carnival of the Animals but don't remember the visuals from the film.

Well since we are talking Fantasia now...
I like the first one better
My favorites where
- The Russian Flower dance (the one with the fun high energy music)
- The Waltz of the Flowers (The pretty one with the fairies. So pretty!)
-Dance of the Hours (hippos!)
- and of course the Sorcerer's Apprentice, pretty much my all time fave from Fantasia. Great story line and epic music. I remember I loved it SOOOO much as a child I had my dad decorate my room after it. My dad is a professional artist. He painted stars all around my room and on my ceiling. There was also a big sorcerer mickey on my wall. I wish I still had pics to show you but it was such an amazing looking room.

Oh the old days of classical animation and music.
Bring it back!

Fantasia is simply amazing. An amazing idea from Walt Disney, as always.

This may not be a Disney movie, but it did feature Disney characters. My favorite scene from Who Framed Roger Rabbit is when Eddy Valiant has finally returned to Toontown for the first time in years. Him running away from that crazy, lovesick woman and Droopy's elevator service is hilarious.

Sincerely, a brother of a half-demon,

I love the scene in Mary Poppins when the old guy at the bank finally gets the "wooden leg named Smith" joke.

That is so cute and so classic. In both Mary Poppins and Peter Pan you can levitate or fly by being happy.

You know, Mary Poppins is an amazing movie altogether.

I couldn't pick a favorite scene... there are too many that enthrall me... but Mary Poppins is definitely my favorite movie. It's just a fun romp when you're a child, tea parties on the ceiling and such. As an adult, however, all these themes pop out that are so relevant to your life. On top of "A Man Has Dreams/A Spoonful of Sugar." I was a workaholic mom until I watched that movie one day with my daughter. That scene hit me like a ton of bricks. "Feed the Birds" is incredibly moving. And the simple goodness of Mary's relationship with Bert is very refreshing.

Plus, nothing beats the sheer irony of Mrs. Banks rushing out to her suffrage rally, but promptly and meekly sitting in a chair when Mr. Banks tells her she needs to be at home. Cracks me up every single time.

I LOVe that suffragette song. It cracks me up! Mrs. Banks does have to play a few hands at once when it comes to Mr. Banks doesn't she? LOL

My favorite scene in one of my favorite movies (Sky High) is when they play Save the Citizen with Mr. Medula and Mr. Boy watching, adding comic relief to the excitement. ("Remember when we used to use real citizens?")

Also, I love each sequence where Will earns his powers (the fight and when Royal Pain throws him out the window).
