I think my favorite piece of animation for quality, even over anything Miyazaki (sp?) has done is the April Showers scene from Bambi. I think it's absolutely stunning. I'm pretty speechless about it, I think it just has to be seen and experienced. It's the one where the rain starts and all the forest creatures react. So beautiful. Another that really moves me is near the end of Fantasia 2000, I don't know if it has a name, but Spring is personified and meets with a demon that nearly destroys her and breaks her spirit but she prevails. You are free to call me corny, I love it. I think it's beautiful, it isn't as strong on animation quality I think but I like the visual story.

"drip drip drop little April shower..." That is a LOVELY scene!
My favorite is the Penguin scene in "Mary Poppins". I literally will stop whatever I'm doing, anywhere I am, to watch it. |

Favorite scenes? I'm a sucker for the romantic stuff, but the scene that just sends chills down my spine is the scene in 'The Little Mermaid' on Night Two when Eric looks up at Ariel and then throws the flute into the ocean before he's enchanted by Vanessa.

My favorite will always be in Mary Poppins - the scene between Mr Banks and Bert. "A Man Has Dreams/Spoonful Of Sugar" has to be one of the most poignant moments in ANY movie, let alone a Disney one. When Bert points out how much Mr. Banks has been missing out on with his children - every workaholic dad needs to take a good long look at that scene. Also, moving this thread over to "Walt Disney Pictures," as it seems to be fitting there... |

I would say that Night on Bald Mountain is my favorite scene.

anything from Up! the whole film is like the best scene that's just broken down into subscenes (I know, no such thing as a subscene) IMO.

My favorite scenes...there are alot.
-Snow White: When Snow White is singing into the wishing well and the prince shows up. :] Love that part and when he sings "One Song" *swoon* I just love whenever Snow sings though. -Peter Pan: When Wendy meets Peter and Wendy goes on to tell Peter all the details about him coming back to get his shadow and she just rambles on and Peter is so overwhelmed by her talking. He stops her by saying "Girls talk to much." Classic scene! - Little Mermaid- When Ariel is in her hiding place with her collection of things from the land. :] - Alice- The Mad tea party. Just a fun scene all together.

In fact, most of Mary Poppins is beautiful. I love the ending scene in that... "You know, they think more of their father than they do of you."... "That's as it should be." I don't know if I have an absolute favorite scene from a Disney film.

The Little Mermaid - When Ariel and Prince Eric are in the boat and Sebastian begins to sing "Kiss the Girl." Aww I love that scene!
Sleeping Beauty - When Prince Phillip comes up behind her and begins to sing along with her, and she's very surprised. Then they start to dance together. Soo romantic. <3 Snow White - When she's singing into the well. Chealsealela already said this scene, but I love it too! Aladdin - When Aladdin comes to Jasmine's balcony and then they go on a carpet ride around the world, and of course the song "A Whole New World" (this is also my boyfriend's and my song because we sang this song together during summer school one day lol). Then the kiss on the balcony. That's all I can think of right now, but when I think of more, I will definately add them to my list!

Peter Pan- the end scene, when Mr. Darling sees the ship flying away and he says, "I feel as though I've seen that ship before... long ago, when I was very young."

One of my favorite Disney film scenes are when Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner get married on The Black Pearl during the epic battle against The Flying Dutchman. I think, in its own way, to be romantic because they know that this moment could be their last moment together.
